The apartment is close to the centre, but not so close that you hear everything going along the main street and access to public transport is very easy - one block and you're there. The apartment itself is clean, feels good to be in and is well-suited to families with children. The room is dark enough for kids to sleep through the night and with the air con on the room can be kept at a comfortable temperature. Very nice apartment for a small family.

We had a great time staying here for a long weekend. The flat is very central, so found ourselves on top of a lot of things we wanted to see, which was great! Mariann was very punctual and also booked us a taxi early morning for our trip back to the airport, which was a great help. The flat had WIFI which was useful and a welcome book that had some good recommendations for places to eat and things to do, this helped us get settled....

This was my first experience with Airbnb, and it could not have been a better one. Communication with Mariann and Orsi was always prompt, clear and helpful. Orsi was at the flat when I arrived, she showed me where everything is, and made sure I was comfortable with the place before she left. The flat is exactly as pictured, no disappointments at all. The little balcony off the living room was a real treat, I was out there every morning with my coffee to check the weather and the street below. The bed was really comfortable, and everything was very clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need in the way of cookware, utensils and dishes. The location was perfect for me, two minutes from the Metro, and a quick walk to a number of good restaurants and cafes. There is a parking garage around the corner if you have a car. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Budapest!

Mariann's apartment is very nice and clean; it looks just like the pictures! It has everything you may need and is well located, near the beautiful Opera House. The nearest underground station is just two minutes away on foot. We didn't meet Mariann, as she was out of town, but her friend Bea welcomed us and even gave us a bottle of prosecco for New Year's Eve! Highly recommended! :)

We contacted Mariann just 6 hours before we arrived in Budapest, since we couldn't reach our original host. Mariann answered very fast and was able to sort it out, even though she wasn't in town. The apartment was nice, clean and spacious and the area was a perfect home base for our interests: close to all the bars in the Jewish area but you could still reach "downtown" and the river in 15-20 min by foot. The checkout also went smoothly and Mariann's friend came to get the key right on the agreed time. A huge thank you, Mariann (and her friend) for being very helpful when we almost arrived to Budapest late at night without having anywhere to stay. Airbnb were also helpful when we contacted them in the matter.

Dear Karin and Blomberg, it was a pleasure to welcome you in my flat. As I love travelling I know that unpredictable things can happen like in this case, but luckily we managed to resolve for the best! I hope to welcome you some other time in Budapest! We wish you all the best! Mariann and Bea

I was born in Hungary, about 40 miles from Budapest however I attended university and got my degree in English and Spanish language and literature from the University of Florence, Italy.I also lived there for many years after graduation. While living in Florence I was surrounded by art, beauty and splendor along with the finest products and most charming services that Europe has to offer. After university I worked as a PR trainee at the Italian Embassy in Dublin, Ireland and also as a Concierge in a boutique hotel of the Ferragamo fashion dynasty in Florence.
When I moved back to Hungary, I realized how beautiful our capital was but also how difficult it was to find the finest quality products, food and service such as I had experienced in Italy. I decided to create top quality flats where travelers, not tourists, can rest perfectly and live as a local in Budapest. Since I started the renovation of the flats I had the goal to provide the luxary of a five star hotel with the warmth and convenience of a real home. I did not wanted to save time or money, the antique furniture you see are all refurbished one by one and I chose only the best natural materials. When people saw the flats they said, you should not rent them, they are too nice...Of course I do, but I try to make a selection of my gustes.
I became also an official tour guide and held tours for small groups. I preferred this as it gave me more one on one contact to consider each individual’s personal interests and needs. I have a great love of culture and often attend concerts, museum events and performances in Budapest and in the surrounding areas. I love to check out the newest bars and restaurants but also like the comfort of the historic pubs and cafes. I enjoy the company of foreign visitors and attend regularly events of international groups and organizations. My children are bilingual as I speak only Italian with them.
Since I love travelling, I love to observe Budapest through the eyes of a demanding traveler and gather essential information for my guests. You will find a list of my recommendation in the flats. I have two young children so if you are traveling with kids I will inform you of all the kid friendly places to go and make your trip as comfortable as possible.
It was a big pleasure to prepare the apartments for you and I hope you will feel all the care and attention during your stay in our beautiful city, Budapest.
