My very quiet first floor apartment just off City Avenue is close to many conveniences including a large Grocery Store, Gym, McDonalds, Starbucks, Fairmount Park, and many dining venues. I have a queen-size bed, two TVs and two comfortable sofas.
I have a neat and well decorated (read: mid-century modern and international style furniture) apartment on the first floor of a renovated, pre-war building just off City Avenue in Philadelphia. The Bedroom has a queen size walnut bed from Area Home, Pratesi and Frette linens, and a cozy Eames Lounge Chair. There is a large Living Room (with a leather sofa), a fully-stocked Kitchen, and a perfectly appointed Bathroom. While the Queen Size Bed is perfect for two, there are two additional sofas in the living room and kitchen that can easily accommodate two additional guests.
The apartment has a view of the shaded inner courtyard as well as N. 50th Street and is well-lit and tremendously quiet. Just down City Avenue you'll find the Campus of St. Joe's University as well as many restaurants, shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations. Fairmount Park borders the property and you can easily enjoy many of its attractions on foot or by car.
For folks on the move, the apartment offers free street parking as well as one garage space and easy access to downtown via the Bala Stop of the Cynwyd Line - it's only two stops into Center City Philadelphia and 30th Street Station. The quaint communities of Philadelphia's Main Line are also only steps away.
I will meet you to give you keys and a tour of the apartment / amenities. Once you take occupancy, I will be available 24/7 to assist with lock-outs and other issues. If you have guests to the apartment, the front door has a buzzer and is adjacent.
Interaction with guests
When I rent my apartment, I stay with family in Center City so am just a phone call away if you need anything during your visit.
Other things to note
I will include Yogurt, Home-Made Granola, and Milk for you to enjoy at breakfast time as well as a bottle of good Chardonnay from Louis Latour Vineyards in Burgundy, France.
I have very nice furniture, art, and kitchen gadgetry so would appreciate it if you treated them as you would your own prized possessions :-). If you don't know what something is in the kitchen, feel free to text me and I might even be able to give you a tutorial of how to use it - I am a computer programmer by profession but an amateur chef in my spare time. If you like, I can whip up some home-made pasta and sauce for your visit - just let me know, I'm here to help and make you comfortable!
