Quiet holiday villa in a beautiful resort on the Lycian coast. Full use of hotel amenities including restaurants, pools and tennis courts. One full bedroom with separate sitting/dining/kitchenette with double sofa bed. Outdoor eating area with portable barbecue provided. Well fitted with flat screen tv and DVDs player.
Whilst the lovely little town of Kalkan with its myriad restaurants is only 5 minutes away, the little kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, portable oven, barbecue and two plate hob is perfectly adequate for preparing meals if you want to eat in (or on the patio). Dining room table and chairs also provided. There is a TV which has a USB port - and has BBC World and Sky News in English and Turkish channels. Sofa bed in sitting room turning into full double with linen provided. Main double bedroom is large with space for a cot. Bathroom with glass shower.
The apartment has excellent access being very close to shuttle bus stop and minutes away from small supermarket. There is a small front veranda with sun loungers or extendable dining table and chairs. Guests have access to the whole resort - however seasonal opening applies to some of the facilities. A guest card is also available allowing for a 25% discount on bars and restaurants in the hotel.
Interaction with guests
I live in South Africa - so won't be there - but the hotel and villa management will be available to help with any problems. I am also only an email or phone call away! I also have letting agent in town who can help in an emergency.
Other things to note
I personally don't drink the water (I brush my teeth in it though with no ill effects so far). Bottled water is available everywhere.
This is my home from home - my sanctuary away from my busy life - I hope you feel the same. Please let me know if anything gets broken, or doesn't work, or anything you felt was sadly missing. Please don't smoke inside and if you pet or feed the local cats/dogs you will find them hard to shake!
There is aircon in the bedroom - please use it, but also please bear in mind that it is really expensive to run, so turn it off when you go out.
