Need a place to sleep in the center of Arnhem? Vacation home De Oude Oever is what you are looking for! In our house with private access, you will find a bedroom, bathroom, storage room for bicycles and a living room with sofa bed and a kitchenette with fridge and microwave (note! no stove). Right in the city center, so all amenities are within walking distance. There is plenty to do in and around Arnhem. Wonderful cycling on the Veluwe, shopping, a city walk or a panoramic view from the church tower.
The space
Vacation home De Oude Oever is a small townhouse with its own entrance right in the center of Arnhem, with all amenities within walking distance! On the ground floor, you will find the bathroom and the storage room for max. 4 bicycles. On the 2nd floor, the bedroom with double bed. On the 2nd floor, the living room with sofa bed for 2 people and a kitchenette with fridge and microwave. There is NO stove present due to a very sensitive fire alarm system.
Attention!
You do have to walk some stairs. All living areas are heated, except the hall with stairs.
High chair + camping bed (0 to 2 years) is available on request.
Energy label:
This house is part of a municipal monument. Therefore, an energy label is not mandatory.
Guest access
The entire house is accessible. There are no spaces shared with other guests or residents. Only guests who have booked are allowed to stay in the house. Parties and gatherings are not allowed. Booking an external service in this house is not allowed.
Please note: the house consists of 3 floors, so climbing stairs is unavoidable. Also see the pictures. The stairs in our apartment are narrow and steep and can be a challenge for less mobile people.
Other things to note
- You can only book if you also want to stay with us. So do not book for other people if you are not going to be present yourself. Also see Airbnb's terms on Third Party Booking.
- Only guests who have booked are allowed to stay in the house. Parties and gatherings are not allowed. Booking an external service in this home is not allowed.
- Offering commercial services, including prostitution, is not allowed in this accommodation.
- The maximum occupancy in the apartment is 4 people + 1 child (up to 2 years old).
- Smoking, drugs, open flames and pets are not allowed.
Keep in mind!
If we find that smoking is still taking place in the room, we are forced to charge €250 cleaning fee. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, the fire department's call-out costs of €275 will be charged to you.
It is forbidden to cover and/or disable the smoke detector. Upon detection, you will be immediately denied access to the house/hotel. We are forced to charge a €250 fine for this.
- The municipality of Arnhem requires us to collect tourist tax from guests.
The rate is €3.50 per person per night. This is automatically included in the booking.
The municipality also asks us to keep a nightly stay register. We ask for your name, place of residence, country and your identification method.

- 1 camping bed is available free of charge ON REQUEST. This is suitable for children up to 2 years old. Bed linen for the camping bed includes only mattress + fitted sheet + waterproof pad. Blanket and/or sleeping bag must be brought on your own.
- 1 highchair is available free of charge ON REQUEST.
- Linens are included. We change the linens before and after each booking, but also during a long-term stay. Linen is provided in consultation and replaced according to the overview below.
Bed linen (one set of bed linen for each person) = for 7 days of use
Bath linen (per person: 1 Towel (60x110) + 1 Large towel (70x140), (per 2 persons: 1 Bath mat) = for 2 days use
Kitchen linen (per booking: 1 Dishcloth + 1 Tea towel + 2 Towels) = for 2 days use
- Bicycles can be placed inside the storage room of the house, up to a maximum of 4 bicycles. Your E-bike can also be charged. Please charge the battery in the designated cabinet, due to fire hazard.
- For longer stays, we would like, in consultation, to have access to the apartment to collect the trash and check the mailbox. This is usually every 3 days. We will contact you about this via Airbnb messages. For stays longer than 10 days, there is a mandatory free cleaning of the apartment after 7 days.
- Guests cannot use the address of De Oude Oever for sending or receiving mail or deliveries, establishing residence or unemployment benefits, credit cards, identification or any other purpose. The mailbox can only be accessed by the host. If you have any questions about this, please contact us before booking.
