The space
This 3 bedroom chalet is perfect for a getaway at any time of the year. The Chalet is well-equipped and we have tried to finish it with personal touches to make your stay more comfortable. It is in a beautiful location with no immediate neighbours, and makes the most of its countryside as well as its coastal setting.

We are proud to be working closely with local environmental charities to reduce our plastic footprint as well as improve wildlife habitat in The Chalet garden and the neighbouring field.

A homemade Devon Cream Tea will be waiting for you on arrival.

COVID-19
The safety of our guests and our community is the most important thing. We have accreditation from Visit England and AA to show that we are following the highest levels of industry standards for safety. We are proud of our cleanliness record during normal circumstances, but now we have greatly enhanced cleaning and sanitising protocols. The secluded and private location of The Chalet make it the perfect place for social distancing. We also operate a no-contact, self check-in.
Additionally, they is a minimum of 72 hours between guests, so no rushed same-day changeovers, and no corners cut on cleanliness and hygiene.

One spacious TWIN BEDROOM with a large wardrobe and chest of drawers.

One BUNKBED ROOM decorated for kids. It has a wardrobe, drawer space and a has a selection of games and books.

A cot is available on request.

OPEN PLAN LIVING / DINING AREA:
The living area is comfortable, light and airy with lots of large windows. There is plenty of sofa seating, flatscreen TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, and CD player. There is also a selection of books and plenty of local information. Patio doors lead out on to the back deck and garden.

There is a dining area with four permanent chairs plus 2 folding chairs. A high chair is available on request.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is well equipped, with an oven, 4-ring hob, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. We know what it's like to try and cook with limited utensils, so have tried to provide anything you may need for everyday cooking and dining.

There are 2 smoke alarms, 2 fire extinguishers and a fire blanket, plus a carbon monoxide detector.

BATHROOM: The family bathroom has a shower over a full-size bath. There is also lots of storage space and a shaving point with light and mirror. Plus a first aid kit.

There are electric heaters in all the rooms.

THE GARDEN AND DECKS:
We particularly love the outdoor space. The chalet is very secluded and surrounded by fields. No part of The Chalet is overlooked by anybody. It is set in a corner of our (large!) garden, but is completely private from us and has its own large garden (some flat, some sloped), 2 decks for morning and afternoon sun, an organic herb garden and a rotary washing line. There is outdoor seating for 6 as well as an outdoor dining area and a BBQ. It is also wonderful for soaking up the sun, or for evening drinks after a hard day at the beach, surfing, or exploring the gorgeous Devon countryside!

There are bird nesting boxes in the garden, and at appropriate times of the year, there is a bird feeding station so you can watch them as you have your morning cup of coffee.

There is also a rustic seating area made from tree stumps at the top of the garden providing great views. The Devon Wildlife Trust and Bee Conservation Trust are advising us on how best to create and maintain this area for improved wildlife habitat. It's a great place to sit and admire the views towards the sea, and up and down beautiful Croyde Valley.
