At airbnb we welcome guest into our homes, unlike hotels that book rooms to people. As such, we appreciate your being mindful of other guests, especially in the SHARED areas.

A $250 per day fine will be charged if you bring extra guests, pets or smoke on the premises. After 5 years as a hostess, I hate to have to make this statement, but more folks are using airbnb with disregard for house rules or our homes. Boo.

Please do NOT use the SHARED areas (KITCHEN especially) if you do not wish to clean up after yourself. Do not leave dirty dishes for the next guest. Clean out the coffee filter and replace with a clean one. Rinse the out the coffee pot. TURN IT OFF, don't let it burn all day. Clean up any spills on the floor. Wash down the table and counters. If you prefer to leave a dirty dishes, YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $50 CLEANING FEE upon your departure. It's not fair to charge everyone, because MOST guest really appreciate the value (access to a kitchen & other living space).

Sorry to have to even post this. There appears to be many more folks using airbnb lately, especially new americans who are not familiar with being guests in a home, instead of renting hotel rooms that charge the added cost of cleaning crew.

WET TOWELS, should be hung up on the hangers behind the bathroom door. PLEASE do NOT throw them on the hardwood floor or leave them on the bedding. Some folks learn this as children, others--apparently not.

This truly is a quiet, inspirational place, so we expect our guests to act accordingly. This is a pet-free and smoke-free accommodation. A laundromat is located 3 minutes away, by the yummy My Thai restaurant.

Thank you for your consideration and respecting house rules that allow me to keep my prices affordable for all travelers. ~k

The place was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We only stayed here for a night as it was close to death valley national park.

We were going to arrive after midnight, but Kathleen left the lights on and a huge welcome pack, and she has the most fantastic home with astonishing views which she allows you to stay. I would certainly book again

Kethreen's place is clean, convenient and BEAUTIFUL! it will definitely surprise you when you walk in even though you've read all the positive comments here. Every detail of fhe house is very thoughtful. also it spend you only 10mins drive to reach walmart and restaurants. If I will visit Death Valley again, this will be my first choice always!

Near Death Valley was wonderful, pleasant and very comfortable. The house doesn't seem much from the outside, but inside it was so good, we liked it a lot. Thank you Kathleen, hope we may stay at your house next time.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet Kathleen in person because my friend and I were hiking as much of Death Valley and Red Rock Canyon as we possibly could, but communication with her through text messaging was excellent. She responded quickly and was very nice. Kathleen's home was one of the best places I've stayed since first using Airbnb. Her home is clean, the beds are very comfortable, having 2 bathrooms made cleaning off after hikes much more convenient and I gained a whole new appreciation for central air. Kathleen has stocked the house with a great amount of literature that proved to be very helpful in determining some of our hikes as well as maps/guides of Pahrump. I've read a couple of reviews commenting on the driving distance to Death Valley, but truth be told, you're really not going to find a place to stay much closer than Pahrump and Kathleen's house is hands down the perfect place to stay. When I return to Death Valley, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
