Communication with Richard prior to, and during the stay was very efficient and I found him to be an extremely accommodating host. Priory Cottage is exactly as advertised. It contains everything you need for a short or long term stay. A very well stocked kitchen, lots of CD's, books and DVD's, comfy chairs, sofas and bed. Though very close to the High St the only sound I could hear at night was the church bells in the distance which helped send me to sleep and really added to the village like atmosphere. Yet the hustle and bustle of the shopping area is steps away. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would happily stay here again.

A great cottage, beautifully decorated and appointed with everything we needed to make our stay really enjoyable, warm and relaxing. There are two very comfortable sofas and an armchair downstairs, and the beds are also very good. The cottage is excellently situated, close to the train station, the High Street with all its fascinating shops, good cafes and restaurants, and also Totnes Castle. However, despite being so central, the cottage is private and quiet, with a lovely little courtyard where, in good weather, you can sit outside in seclusion.

The location is really central and has a lovely friendly/homely feel to it. The kitchen is well equipt with everything you could possibly need and the open plan downstairs is great for chilling out in. Great check in communication with nice touches like fresh milk and bread. Thanks Richard for a great stay :)

We very much enjoyed Priory Cottage. Richard was quick and complete with all the information we needed and arrival was easy. We found the cottage quite cozy for the two of us and handsomely decorated with great lighting, and it seemed about as well located as a place in Totnes can be -- steps from the castle and the High Street axis of the town, close to grocery stores, easily walkable to the train station. It's a lovely walk (a bit long if you're not a walker, but not at all difficult) past the station, along a riverside footpath and on to Dartington Hall and its White Hart restaurant. We did find that the twin beds in the second bedroom are small, more like cots and not well suited to adults -- not important to us, but something others might want to consider. Overall, a great stay.

The cottage is pleasant and very close to the centre of Totnes with its historic high street, interesting cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. It is quite compact but has a friendly feel and has everything that you need. There is a courtyard where you can sit outside. The cottage is next to a small car park, but looks away from it, so that you are not aware of it. Richard was very helpful. We would definitely go again.
