About this listing
We offer a unique stay in a traditional Romany caravan furnished with some mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The caravan has electric stove, lights, television,DVD player and tea making facilities. There is a seperate bathroom with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. There is also a day cabin overlooking the meadow and woodland with a fine array of wildlife to be seen.Enjoy a romantic escape in a peaceful location but close to all amenities with Cornwall's famed coastline, surfing beaches and coastal footpath less than 2 miles away .Half a mile away is the historic Stannery village of Stratton with 2 pubs and a village store. Genuine Cornish pasties are available at the farm shop ,also about half a mile away ,and of course in Bude itself which ,while still retaining the charm of an oldfashioned seaside town ,has shops, restaurants, banks and pubs.We would highly recommend a visit to the nearby picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Clovelly.Or for those who may like to venture a little further afield there are the worldwide famed restaurants of Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant at Padstow. These are both within easy driving distance ,as is the The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens, two further highlights of this beautiful part of the world.
The caravan is situated in 5 acres of grounds which the guests have complete access to. Outside the caravan there is a table and chairs and there are also loungers available for the guests to use.

Liz and Jan were the most perfect hosts. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe how amazing they are. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the setting and garden are! Plus there are all the home comforts you could ever need (including a TV and multiple plug points). The cooked breakfast and picnic breakfast if you want to have a lie in are both just dreamy. The only bad thing about the whole weekend was that we had to come home!!
A lovely place hosted by lovely people! Bush Meadows was just as the photos and description portrayed and was a delight to stay in. Liz and Jan made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of great tips for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast (whichever option we chose) was excellent and made extra special by the inclusion of home made jams and fruit from the garden. The accommodation was lovely, unique and quirky, set in a garden that was stunning and a delight both to wander in or sit and look at. We loved our stay there and happily recommend it to anyone else.
To write a review of Liz and Jan's experience you need to be a poet - only they have the range of superlatives necessary! I'd say idyllic, but that doesn't do justice to the work they've put in to it all. If I say anymore, I risk doing it an injustice - very highly recommended.
What can I say? What a beautiful caravan and grounds. Our hosts Jan and Liz were attentive to our needs and enhanced our experience further. I highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away. With easy access to coastal walks and several beaches (via car). Thank you so much and hope to see you again.
We absolutely loved staying at this idyllic property ...Liz and Jan were wonderful hosts and had thought of everything to make our stay as fabulous as possible. The caravan was cosy, the bed was very comfortable and it was wonderful waking up and being able to enjoy the beautiful garden. We loved the summer house where you could sit and again enjoy the lovely views. There was nothing we could fault with this stay except I wish we could have stayed longer. This has to be one of the best Air bnb places we have stayed in!
Balkan-Caravan, Laube und englischer Garten: Romantischer Wohnen geht nicht! Dear Liz: Thank you very much for all your help and effort!
We stayed for two nights in Liz and Jan's caravan and loved every moment of it! The caravan is cosy with a comfortable bed and just makes the stay in Bude and Cornwall unique, a real visual treat. The summer house was a perfect base to relax in the mornings and evening with a book or pack of cards watching the sun go down in the beautiful garden. Everything is decorated nicely to make you feel at home as well as being clean and looked after.
Liz and Jan were wonderful hosts and we were amazed by the fantastic breakfasts they provided us (both cold to enjoy at our leisure, and hot in their own conservatory) and their advice and hospitality.
All our friends are jealous and we cannot recommend a stay here enough. We hope one day we will be back for another piece of tranquillity and relaxation. Thank you x
