Ken was a Fantastic host. He was very accommodating. The place was beautiful. We will definitely be returning, because we had other family things to attend, we could not enjoy everything. But we will. Debra was gone, but looking forward to meeting her next time. Bear had so much fun with Peanut, and Bender. Love the Saloon.

My wife & I had a very pleasant time staying with Ken and Debra. Their home is conveniently located, within easy day biking trips to Birch and Semiahmoo Bays, Blain and a day trip (by car) to Canada. This area offers beautiful scenery along with great restaurants and quaint shops to explore. In addition to enjoying the beautiful area, we had time during a couple evenings to get to know Ken a bit more. We enjoyed Ken sharing some history of their property. I was truly impressed to learn about how Ken matured the homestead from the unsightly condition it was in when he and Debra acquired the area, into the beautiful home it is now. I would caution against having an agenda with a list of action items to accomplish when you visit. That’s not what this is about. Rather, I would of course encourage having some general ideas of what you want to do in the area. Then take time to relax, be flexible with your ‘agenda’, and enjoy being there exploring the area.
