This place is very remote. Please make sure you realize this before you make the long journey. It is extremely difficult to find (even with a local driver). We drove for four hours to reach this place. Once we saw the location and accommodations we did not stay. The photos do not represent the accommodations properly.

Thank you for your review Hulya but I think you choice the wrong driver , as he said he knows our village and I explain him clearly and he understand but I think he is terrible driver that I ever knowing . The photo that I put on airbnb is very clear and everything on description also very clear that from Ubud is about 2 hours and from airport 3,5 hours , and most of our guest driver they took 2 hours from Ubud and if your driver took 4 hours I sure that you choice " terrible " driver. But anyway thank you so much for your review.

We had a wonderful stay with Putu and Zanzan and their three sweet children. The place is very special with a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere, and the area is absolutely stunning. Zanzan took us on amazing hikes to the mountains and to the waterfall. And the village was wonderful, filled with amazingly sweet people. And oh, the food! Zanzan'z mother cooked all meals for us, and it was by far the best food we have had in Bali (which says a lot, because the balinese food is great). We will definitely be back!

ZANZAN and Putu immediately welcomed us warmly upon our arrival and over our short stay, we felt like we were part of their lovely family. They went out of their way to make our stay in Bali even more memorable, and to give us a perspective on the culture and beliefs of the people of Bali that we carried forward on the rest of our trip. If you want to visit Bali to just experience the built up and polished five star tourist areas, then you should probably stick to those areas.. but if you want to have a more genuine authentic experience in a beautiful area that has been unspoilt by tourism, then you need to include a stay with ZANZAN and Putu in your travels! ZANZAN himself is so captivating to listen to and learn from. We hope to return someday as we were sad to leave and wish we had booked more time with them! I have to mention the amazing home cooked food, which was definitely the best food we experienced on our whole trip. We always looked forward to our meals to see what was awaiting us! Our guide for the waterfall trip was also really great and despite being caught in crazy rain, it was completely worth the extra price and I highly recommend it!

A fantastic place to stay far off touristic hotspots and feel one with balinese people & nature. Putu and Zanzan are the most lovely and caring hosts and they will help you with anything you might need. Great traditional balinese meals are served. It's also the perfect place to start a tour to the Sekumpul Waterfalls - with a little luck you will be guided by Zanzan's cousin who knows all the beautiful ways and spots around the area.

Putu made my stay Wonderful ! I felt very welcomed and she was more than happy to provide transport and assist with my daily activities. It was a great place to relax, and spend time in the rural village. There is a lot of livestock next door so you can hear the chickens in the Morning and the sound of the water feature. Close location to the waterfalls also. Putus cooking was great and the outdoor dining area was a great meeting point with the other guests. If your stay is long enough her husband Zanzan can teach you about meditation and great breathing exercises. He is a wealth of knowledge

Hello, my husband Zanzan and I are passionate about connecting friends and guests from all around the world with the beauty and potential that our rural Balinese village has to offer. After working in the hospitality business for many years (i.e. The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Arma Group and Fivelements), Zanzan now devotes his time to his hometown Sudaji in Northern Bali. Organic farming, more effective trash removal systems, the many benefits of yoga meditation, and the importance of the English language to our youth are among the numerous projects that he is invloved in.
As native Balinese, we love welcoming new friends into our home and doing whatever we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
