The space

In the centre of Palermo, in via Catania, near Politeama Place I rent a room in my house. The room have a bed for two persons and is very large. There is tv, table, divano,..

My apartment is in a little ancient building of the Liberty Style.
The house, a large apartment, is located in Via Catania, in the "Libertà District", the most elegant of the city, at 10 minutes on foot from Teatro Massimo and Teatro Politeama and from via Libertà, the "rambla of Palermo", near villa Trabia park and "English Gardens".
The bus stop from/to airport is near the house, in via Libertà, and there are the others bus stop to go around all the city and toward the wonderful beach of Mondello.
The guests can use many common areas and features of the apartment: kitchen/ video-room.

I'm an historian of art and architecture so i'm tell you all about the story of the city, about the principal monuments, the stories, the places.

Particularity: in front my home there is a little food shop, very famous in Palermo, Savoca, to eat the wonderful "street eats" of Palermo: panelle, milza, and others good thinks. Near there is a very good little restaurant ,"Altri Tempi", very cheap and very very good, near my home there are one of the best bar in Palermo, Costa, with a wonderful ice, and sicilian cakes "cassata".

The room has a balcony and you can see the sea on the left and the hills on the right.

Near the apartment there is a little park, monuments and via Libertà, the most beautiful street of Palermo, the shopping centre of the city.
I'm am often out of Palermo, so the apartment is all for you when i'm out. You can use the kitchen for breakfast or lunch or dinner. But only if you leave it clean.
I'm a Teacher/journalist/writer and i work in Palermo and in Rome.

Now I copy a post about the "Palermo Street Food". Scuse but it is in Italian...
My city is the 5th city in the world (the one of Italy) for the Street Food.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mila's apartment, she's a great host and really helpful. The flat is in a nice neighbourhood with wide streets and old buildings, it's quiet and a bit aside from the central noise, and walking home late at night was always ok. There is a big superma…

Mila was the perfect host. She didn't mind our late arrival. She gave a quick toor around her gorgeos, tall, bright and ideally located appartment. Good cofee and biscuits were waiting in the morning. Great stop for a couple "road tripping" around Sicily. Perfect location for wal…

Mila was a very nice and flexible host! I arrived in Palermo earlier than expected, but that was no problem for her. It was also possible to stay for one extra day and to leave my bags during the time I travelled elsewhere. She always responds quickly to mails and messages. Her h…

I really enjoyed my brief stay with Mila. She was very welcoming and helped me figure out which bus I needed to take to get to the airport the next day! The room was beautiful and clean. Also, I was actually able to get some wifi in my room. All in all, it was a short but sweet e…

The room was big with nice high ceilings and decoration in a historic apartment and our host Mila very nice to us. The district where it is located is nice and has many shops and restaurants.
