Spent a week here as I transitioned into a more permanent home. Trey is INCREDIBLY inviting, helpful, and kind. His home is very calm and peaceful. The location was great for my needs (close to UH Manoa). Thank you Trey!

Very relaxing place to stay if looking to save money, and Be close to town, surf, or whatever you need. Trey was a really friendly host, And always had suggestions about Hawaii in general. I was able to get studying done, and enjoy myself. His dog Jack is awesome, most mellow yellow lab you could ever meet.

Trey is a great host, he's extremely nice and helpful. Other than the house being dirty and the bugs in the bathroom our stay was okay

Thank you Danielle for your feedback. Hawaii is a tropical climate system year round and as mentioned on my airbnb page, do not be surprised if you see a critter as this is very common in this climate system. This information will help greatly improve future guests stay, so thank you again for your feedback, it is highly appreciated. Mahalo.

First, Trey is simply a wonderful host. He mixes the perfect blend of an engaging personality, but also is very cognizant to give one privacy as well. A great person to run travel plans by for those new to the island. You could book the room with Trey (and Jack the dog) and not go wrong. Second, I found the location quite convenient, though a car or moped is recommended. This is a residential neighborhood, so folks should be aware of that. There are numerous restaurants but minutes away. After working in downtown Honolulu it was nice to come down to an area a bit more quiet. For those seeking walking proximity to nightlife, I might look elsewhere Finally, the unit. Car port parking was provided, which was really convenient. The unit itself is comprised of two small bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchen. The unit is the lower level of a two story home. It has its own separate entrance and windows in both bedrooms, bathroom, and entryway. The bedroom rented out is closed by an accordion door leading to the small entryway and kitchen. The bedroom has closet space with storage shelving, and a queen bed that is the prominent feature of the room. Air conditioning and fan provided, though winter island temperatures made this less of a used amenity. There isn't really a living room to speak of, so time is spent either in the bedroom or out-and-about town. With so much to do, I found myself mainly at the rental to sleep and shower. The unit is relatively small and intimate--there is very little superfluous space. The kitchen is small and serviceable, but I wouldn't expect to make three-course meals. Trey keeps the apartment incredibly clean. However, be prepared for some island bugs in unit. Traps are present, as is typical for island homes. Hotels probably do a more exhaustive job and spraying etc. but you are also paying for that level of upkeep. Price was very fair compared to competing properties.

If you're looking for a quiet place away from the hustle of Waikiki, head up to Trey's. A quick drive into the valley is all you'll need to find this relaxing getaway. Trey also has great recommendations on places to go and experience the island!

It's a wonderful little place with all the basics you need. It's really nice there is a backyard to relax in at night to enjoy the cool breeze and sounds of the valley. Quiet neighborhood with no issues at all. Great stay!

Aloha, my name is Trey.

I love life and try to cherish every moment. My passions include writing, traveling, hiking and being in nature. I am a huge advocate for our worlds most vulnerable populations, animals and our environment.

I am originally from Chicago, but have lived on Oahu for 6 years. Fortunately, I have been able to live in Australia and Thailand and have spent time backpacking through South East Asia, Central America, New Zealand and Fiji. I have been to Kauai, Maui, Big Island, Molokai and Lanai so I can answer questions you may have.

I have an 11-year-old yellow labrador, Jack, who will be your best friend if you would like him to be.
