Our family stayed here for the 2017 Thanksgiving holiday and we were able to bring our two small dogs since the home allows pets. IT was very nice to find a home of this style that allowed pets. Our group was slightly smaller than originally expected, 10 originally but only 7 came. Either way if all would have come, there was plenty of room throughout the lake house to enjoy ourselves. The dining room is large with a table to accommodate up to 8 people very comfortably. The added décor with flower arrangement and beautiful Tiffany style lamp fixture which hung above was a truly special touch. Our large Thanksgiving Dinner laid out nicely on the table and we fit perfectly. The Living Room was spacious with plush furniture and seating for all. The big plush couch was a little worn in places but it was very comfortable and since they allow pets, it’s understandable that one would not have a brand-new couch. The living room accommodated all of us and in fact I fell asleep on the couch…Needless to the home is relaxing and feels safe too. The Kitchen and its oversized island with seating stools was perfect and accommodated our group while we all gathered to cook. Plenty of room to come and go without bumping into one another. The first-floor bedroom with the King Size bed and ensuite was beautifully decorated. It looked like it was right out of a Home Décor magazine. Colorful, plush and quality linens which was a nice added touch. The Upstairs bedrooms were large enough to accommodate but the queen size mattress needs a thicker mattress cover pad to soften it up a bit. The outside of the property was beautiful with the large mature trees and I recommend anyone coming to bring a hammock, I forgot mine and missed the opportunity to relax right under the huge trees. The water access was convenient and had we stayed longer, we would have taken advantage of the bringing out canoe more than once. At night, the automatic lights along the bull head near the water and property line is super nice. The owner supplied a fire pit and that was most appreciated as we used it every night we were there. I would stay at this home again, without hesitation!

Our family and friends stayed over the labor day weekend. We had a great time. The scenery can't be beat and the home was stocked well with what we needed. The only issue is cleanliness. The home was not cleaned properly. It was not a big enough issue to contact the owner but it was definitely a disappointment. 4 stars out of 5.

I stayed with my extended family: 10 adults and 2 dogs. The house is great, very spacious and clean. Three full bathrooms! Very cool location. I had never been to Lake McQueeney, and I absolutely loved it. We fished off the dock and swam in the lake all weekend. Caveat: this would NOT be a good place for families with small children. The house is two-story with very steep stairs, the dining room is sunken with a big step-down, and the yard is very sloped and terraced toward the water. You'd go crazy trying to keep an eye on a toddler.
