the room is really charming, with a west facing window overlooking the backyard. it is on the second floor of my century home in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of downtown, queens, rmc, and the hospitals. there's a bus stop just a three minute walk away.
the living room couch is a sweet spot to curl up with a book.
there are three bedrooms in the house. one is mine, and 2 are rented out, often to students during the school year.

The space
i like antiques. & vintage pieces. & mixing it all together with new stuff & thrift store scores. it makes for a relaxed, welcoming environment to feel at home in. spring thru fall there's a vegetable garden that takes up most of the backyard. there's a small deck out the back door that provides a lovely spot to sit. : )

walking distance to all amenities downtown, this neighbourhood is friendly & funky. living here are artists, musicians, profs, families, freaks, & regular folk. we all get along pretty well. : )
it's a nice neighbourhood to walk in. & it's only about a 7 minute walk to get to the pathways along the cataraqui river, the closest 'nature fix'. mcburney park, home of the fabulous skeleton park arts festival, is just as close. heck, here in downtown in kingston, everything is pretty close. the k-rock centre, rmc, queen's, two hospitals all only a half hour walk or less. there are 5 yoga studios within a 20 minute walk.

i love living in kingston, & introducing others to this small city's charms.

my life is full with yoga, bicycling & walking, potlucks, love, music, and reading. & practising reflexology.
i enjoy time on my own & time with others.

when travelling, i enjoy exploring new places & love how it always leads me to new views of myself. i love how travelling and the airbnb hosting experience bring a fresh appreciation that most people everywhere are wonderful & open to others.
