Named after renowned impressionist painter Wilmotte Williams, her colourful eclectic flair lives on. This is the treasured holiday home of her granddaughter. Creative and innovative, she channels her own designer talent into the tasteful décor of the property.
Wilmotte Williams was a prominent Sydney artist for over two decades. Her impressionist artwork featured Sydney terraces, street scenes and Southern Highlands landscapes. The home was decorated specifically to complement these stunning artworks and carry on her name.
The made-over interior is freshly painted with an immaculate bathroom, stylish furnishings, lighting and flooring. Featuring a wood-fire heater and reverse cycle air-conditioner, your comfort is assured throughout the seasons.
Attention to detail is impeccable throughout Wilmotte. Luggage racks, fresh ground coffee, fresh white linen, soap, shampoo and conditioner - have all been thought of. The owners have gone above and beyond with this inviting country space.

WHO CAN BOOK
We understand that for a whole variety of reasons, you may want additional guests to stay in the place. In the event that you want additional guests to stay, please contact us to let us know. We will accommodate wherever possible.
We welcome groups to enjoy this relaxing country cottage. The house is suitable for up to 6 adults or 8 guests (including 2 or more children). If you are a group of adults looking for a place to party for the weekend please choose a more suitable property.
We welcome children to stay and explore the cottage and garden, but please note children will need supervision as there's a small pond in the garden, the fireplace has no guard and the deck has no railings (as it is less than 1m from the ground). We also encourage you to bring bikes - children will love the bike path around the garden.
Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that you leave the place as you found it. Prior to leaving please: ensure board games are complete and packed away, clean the BBQ and put any dirty towels in the bath. It helps us get through our cleaning process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests. An extra charge of $150 for cleaning will apply if the house is not left in a clean and tidy state at time of departure.
Bin night is Sunday - we kindly ask that you leave the garbage bins out for collection when you depart (or on Sunday night if you have not yet departed) to ensure space for future guests' rubbish. Please take any excess rubbish with you to avoid a tipping fee.
Our kitchen has everything you need in order to cook up a storm. We do require that you:
- leave it clean and tidy as you found it with the items put back where you found them
- take care of the bench top and use chopping boards provided. Bench top damage due to cutting or wine stains will incur a repair fee of $150 for us to bring it back to its pristine condition.
- avoid deep frying food - we like to keep the house smelling clean and fresh
- pack and run the dishwasher when you leave, we will empty it for you
Absolutely NO smoking in the house and if you do smoke outside, please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash.
We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.
To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you only use as much firewood as you need. Mother nature thanks you too. Thank you for bringing any unused wood inside - wood left in the elements will be too wet to burn.
Bring extra warm clothes to enjoy the outdoor fire pit as our blankets are for indoor use only. The local council does not allow outdoor fires from 1st October - 31st March each year.
Only toilet paper and human waste is to be flushed down the toilet.
Relax and enjoy the fresh country air - we want you to feel at home throughout your stay.
I'm the type of host that wants her guests to have a wonderful relaxing time. I think about the details that will make guests comfortable and at home.
I love the good things in life! It's not worth going away if you aren't staying somewhere more comfortable than home. From fluffy white towels, to king size beds and cotton sheets - it's got to be comfortable!
Wilmotte cottage is my favourite place in the world to be. It is a homage to my late grandmother - Wilmotte Williams. Her artwork hangs proud in the cottage for guests to enjoy. It is also a getaway for our three children. They love the open space and nature - it's such a contrast to the inner city life we live in Sydney.
