What you see is what you get! Been at this for awhile and it's been very rewarding when you are extroverted! WE like to bring everyone's home to ours by making them feel special...everyone has a unique story to tell and we are good listeners!
WELCOME! We have a very comfortable, FUN, water inspired guest bedroom available for short term stays ONLY. It is on the ground floor of a split level home in a super quiet and safe neighborhood.
AMENITIES: Full private bathroom just 4 feet from the room, cable TV, and wi-fi. It's also on the same level as our inviting family room with a ping pong table, PS2, Wii, etc. Also, we love wine so our guest will be greeted with a bottle of vino upon their arrival in their own fridge - please specify red or white. SPECIAL NOTE: for multiple guests (up to 4 in all) our family room couch converts to a double sleeper couch low to the carpeted ground. Kids are welcome, BUT our house is NOT childproofed. Speaking of kids! if you need to bring a dog or a cat with you, we only accept on a case by case basis since we already have pets on the premises.
We are located exactly 1.25 miles from downtown Annapolis on a peninsula called Eastport. The area is not only rich in it's culture and history, but the U.S. Naval Academy is just around the corner sitting on The Chesapeake Bay. For food, there are plenty of restaurants nearby in the downtown area - all within a 20-25 min walk or 5 minute drive or even a 15 minute bike ride. (If you want to rent a bike from us please let us know in advance and we will try and accommodate you. WE do have two to loan out). Lastly, there are taxi cabs to call from our house easily and there is a public bus within a half a mile you can take to get you closer to downtown.
*ALL WE ASK AFTER YOU BOOK WITH US IS TO PROVIDE US WITH ONE FORM OF A GOVERNMENT ISSUED I.D. TO BE SENT ELECTRONICALLY IF POSSIBLE - just to prove you are who you say you are. If you are already i.d. verified or have positive reviews here on Airbnb then we can skip this process.*
Kia & John
This particular Spring/Summer season (2014) we are only looking to rent for short term stays only (2 weeks or less per guest). If you need something longer we'll consider on a case by case basis so feel free to ask us.
We had a great time with Kia and John. They were very friendly and gave us great suggestions about places to eat and sites to see. The location was very convenient, a pleasant 30 min walk from downtown Annapolis. We loved getting to know their cute dog Astro. Sleeping conditions and bathroom were great. Would highly recommend for anybody staying in Annapolis!
My girlfriend and I stayed with Kia and John overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The experience was excellent - beginning to end. From a warm greeting and a comfortable bed, to the wonderful conversation and a great cup of coffee on the morning of our departure. If you need a place to stay in the Annapolis area, this is the place!
Enjoyed my visit to Annapolis, staying at Kia and John's house.
It was a comfortable and quiet place. Look forward to staying there again, on my next visit.
We recently stayed with Kia and John for four nights while we explored beautiful Annapolis and the surrounding area. Their lovely home is on a safe and quiet street and just minutes from Historic downtown. And street parking right in front of the house was a nice bonus.
Though we arrived late, Kia and John welcomed us with wine and fun conversation on their porch on a beautiful fall evening. They gave us the house tour and keys, reviewed things to know, and then respectfully left us hang out in the lower level of their home -- perfectly set up for the privacy of guests.
We saw them only a few times as we all passed with our busy schedules, but they were only a text away when we had questions or needed to borrow a cooler for our picnic. Their communication, both before and during our stay, was awesome! It provided a great sense of comfort that these are awesome folks who love people and life and creating a great opportunity for travelers as well.
We couldn't have been happier with our AirBnB selection --- Kia and John ( and adorable and fun dog, Astro) made the lodging portion of our trip so relaxing and easy.....and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Annapolis!!
Thanks for the hospitality you guys.....you're the best!!!

We have stayed with Kia and John at least 3 times. They are wonderful people and great hosts. We always feel right at home. If you are planning a visit in the Annapolis area we highly recommend Kia and John's as a place to stay..
Kia and John were fantastic. They are wonderful, fun, interesting hosts, and their house is beautifully decorated and great for guests. Everything was neat and clean, and they kindly provided toiletries that guests might need during their stay. We only wished we lived closer so we could hang out more often with them!
We had a wonderful (albeit SHORT!) stay with Kia and John! Only one night, but they are both great hosts, and we would return. We loved Astro too!
Wonderful experience, first time using airbnb and will definitely use it again! Very easy, very comfortable accommodations, great location, John and Kia were great hosts, hope to stay there again when in Annapolis!
Thank you both!
this was the first time for me, that I did choose AirBnB and I am more than glad that I did choose to stay with Kia and John. Both of them are so friendly and made it so easy to feel well and welcome. They were helpfull in any situation with their advices and help and I did enjoy the time that we spent together in their home. Also great, that my son was able to spend the time there, too. Thank you for sharing your home and your time :-) so glad, that we did meet. Hope to see you soon....
We had a great time at Kia and John's house. We were fortunate enough to meet Kia's mother as well, who shared lots of great stories in "The Room of Fame". The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Thanks for letting us stay!
