The space

This traditional farmhouse is in a village called Għarb, located on the west side of Gozo. This locality is known for its easy-going community and tranquil atmosphere. It is about 20 minutes by car away from the Gozo Ferry Harbour and about 10 minutes away Gozo's capital city. Dwejra Bay and the Inland Sea are just a few minutes away!

This holiday house was recently renovated into a beautiful and practical farmhouse. It is an ideal accommodation for groups or large families. What was a large mill room is now a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and recreational area with cable TV and a DVD player. As you can see in the photos, there is a private pool with a stone BBQ and sun-loungers. There are 4 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have a double bed and the other two have two single beds in each room. All the bedrooms are air conditioned which is activated by a coin meter. This means that you only pay as much as you use it. Visitors usually spend around €10 per week. Three of the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. There is another separate bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a washing machine. From the top floor there is access to a terrace with some lovely country views. There is free Wi-Fi. There is also a baby crib, iron and ironing board.

This farmhouse is situated in a quiet alley. Your neighbours at this house will all be friendly locals. It is a stone throw away from the village church and walking distance to a supermarket, local restaurants and a bus stop. The location of Għarb is a village with a population of just over one thousand local residents. It's typical Gozitan village square is a postcard favourite. Għarb’s surroundings includes some of Malta's most scenic countryside including, Dbieġi - the highest hill in Gozo.

Our housekeeper and pool cleaner will visit the house weekly to clean the house and change the sheets and towels. During your holiday we'll be there for any help you will need. We can help you organize car hire and airport transfers. We live nearby, so while you are with us we will be able to attend to any needs you may have in no time.

What a lovely house, host, village and the whole experience in general. We were greeted by smiley host, Petrina, who showed us around the house and explained all the how to's and get to's. Clean house with everything you need - it felt like home! You didn't need to bring much with as everything was there. Great swimming pool which was the highlight not only for the kids but adults too :) Stunning views from the roof top terrace - great for morning yoga and some quiet time. The house is in a lovely village called Gharb, and we were very lucky to be there during religious celebrations when the village was decorated with flags, sculptures of saints and the main church was lit up. Gorgeous! The house is pretty close to the beaches - 15/20 mins in a car or you can take a bus. Azure Window is also super close and you don't want to miss it. There's a local shop round the corner and a larger shop a little walk away - the light house - recommend it for good food shopping. There is also two restaurants in the village. We went to only one, Rangers Bar & Restaurant, as it's got the most beautiful view from its roof top terrace - overlooking the village and Ta' Pinu Church, the staff is super friendly - they really looked after us so well! impressive! and the food is just lovely - fresh and cooked with lots of love! The other restaurant is not worth visiting - slow service, we didn't even eat there as we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged - just don't bother. Thank you again for everything - we had a lovely time! Highly recommend it !

Gharb is a beautiful town and the house was perfect. With enough space for all of us (6 adults and 4 kids), a nice pool and the sun terrace it had everything we needed. The grill was perfect as well! The communication with Michael was flawless and Petrina made us feel very welcomed. Thanks to her we were even invited to a local festival - a great experience. We might be back but in a meantime will definitely recommend it to our friends!

We had a wonderful holiday in the farmhouse and found Michael and Petrina to be extremely friendly and helpful. The house is lovely and pool is great for sunny afternoons. Air-con in the rooms is also good for sleeping on warm nights. Overall, a beautiful house in a lovely village with a friendly, peaceful atmosphere.

We finally arrived in Gharb at 1am due to the frequency of ferries after 10pm. Petrina waa happy to wait for us and gave us a warm welcome. Petrina had provided us with some basics like milk, bread and ham to get us started which was really appreciated the next morning. The farmhouse itself is wonderful. Beautifully kept, and showcases lots of knick knacks so that you can imagine it as a working farm. The swimming pool was lively albeit freezing cold in May but that didn't stop us from enjoying it. Gharb is a quiet village, with the exception of church bells and goats! A small selection of good restaurants in the village square and the surrounds. Ample parking space and a good little supermarket. A wonderful relaxing stay. Thank you.
