Whitstable is fantastic: it's full of independent shops; lots of amazing bars and restaurants; it also has a thriving artist community so there are some lovely galleries and as a consequence the town has a lovely arty vibe to it! Obviously the seaside is a big attraction and just strolling along the beachfront is a lovely way to spend the day.
