Anna's Home is in the PERFECT location for a visit to Murphys. Just a block from the shops and nightlife but also private, quiet, clean and comfortable. We loved the backyard patio for a relaxing dinner. The beds were comfortable. Perfect for a family. Bathrooms set up is a little tricky as the full bath is in the master suite. 1/2 bath and dressing area is easily accessible from 2nd bedroom. We had 2 couples but only stayed 1 night so bathroom accommodations were just fine. We came to Murphys for a concert at Ironstone Vineyards. We had an amazing get away. Thank you Anna!

The house is very cozy and beautiful. It's only one block away from main Street. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing bothered me was the heater in the guest room that was very loud. We had two young kids so had to keep it on all night. I didn't get much sleep the first night because of the noise. I wish I was warned and told there's another heater in the master bedroom.

Cute simple cottage, steps from shops on Main Street. Comfy beds in both rooms. Plentiful kitchen supplies. The only shower/bath is in master bedroom, but there is a second and separate bath/sink off the back hallway. Living room could use a bigger couch or more cozy seating for 4, as the small couch only seats 2. These were minor drawbacks and did not affect our stay and we'd love to come back. If you are interested in a beautiful drive and hike, drive up sheep ranch road to Avery sheep ranch road to the Arnold rim trail- breath taking and dog friendly.

This little house made us feel at home!

We had a lovely 4 day stay for a family wedding in town. The location is perfect the yard is completely fenced which was wonderful for our dog and the back porch was delightful for morning coffee. Comfortable beds too and plenty of room for our family of four. Also, the washer/dryer with soap on site was fantastic to have.

When contacting us, there are a couple different people who might be responding to you, depending on the day of the week. Myself (Anna), Nikki and Pam all take turns handling correspondence and calls. There are pictures of each of us shown.

I began managing my first vacation rental over 18 years ago while in college. It was a perfect part time job. I could take calls via cell phone, clean the house on Sunday after check-out, and then be ready for school again on Monday. Soon, the Little Yellow Cottage was booked solid, so I started working on a second rental. It wasn't long before other people began to ask me to manage their homes. What had begun as a part-time/temporary job soon turned into a full time endeavor.

I am grateful for this work as it allows me to live in this mountain community where I grew up. I am the third generation of my family to live in Murphys and would be happy to answer any questions you have about the area. When not working, I try to be in the outdoors as much as possible. This might include: hiking, camping, skiing/snowboarding, watersports, etc... In addition, I have done a fair bit of traveling in Central and South America as well as Europe and most recently to Africa. There is nothing like being in a totally new environment- with smells, tastes, and sounds which are foreign to the senses. You will most likely reach me in the evenings or if you are staying at a home and have a problem.

Nikki takes calls midweek from 9-5. Her family has also lived in the Murphys area for several generations, so she is familiar with local attractions and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Before coming to work at Murphys Vacation Rentals she had an adorable gift shop in Avery for years called the Garden Keeper. It specialized in unique gifts and garden related items. Currently, she has a side business selling aromatherapy products in local stores and Farmer's Markets which she hand crafts. "Under the Sun" has a huge line of sunscreens, bug repellant, skin lotions, etc..., many of which are produced using native plants which she harvests.

Pam works on the weekend. She is our Johnny-on-the-spot should you have a problem during your stay. Before moving to Angels Camp Pam lived in Southern California, as well as Colorado, and Texas. Her niece (pictured above) loves spending time with her aunt on her days off. They oftentimes can be found at the lake or local park. Pam also enjoys hiking and can inform you of local trails and lakes.

Please feel free to call us for area information or suggestions to help make your trip to our lovely area the best it can be.
