The space

This is a bright, fully equipped, 2nd floor apartment with a large entertainment area overlooking a courtyard. It is in Centenary Park Estate, a luxury, gated, 1 year old complex with its own tennis court, basketball area, 25m pool, gymnasium, conference room, barbeque areas, childrens playground and theatre room. Fast internet with WiFi, continental breakfast, tea, coffee, towels, all bedding and expenses are included. There is internal lift access from a designated, underground, secure carspace. The apartment is cleaned in between stays.

The living room has a 46" TV, DVD player, air conditioning, and opens onto a large balcony with gas barbeque, outdoor setting and views over a modern courtyard. There is an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas cooktops, stone benchtops. All bedrooms have a built-in wardrobe. The main bedroom has an ensuite, TV, access to the balcony, air conditioning and king single beds. The second bedroom has double and single beds and access to the balcony. The third bedroom has a queen bed. The internal laundry has a washing machine, tub, dryer, clothes line and ironing facilities.

Other things to note

A second carspace is available for $30+$40/week. Surcharges apply during peak periods. Discounts are available for last minute bookings and bookings that fill or partially fill gaps in the calendar.

Premises
The guest has the right to occupy b214/78 Marlborough Rd, Homebush West, 2140. Check-in time is 11am and check-out time is 2pm unless one party arrives on the same day as another departs, in which case the checkout and check-in times on that day are 11am and 2pm, respectively.
The number of people allowed to stay overnight at the home i(URL HIDDEN)adults an(URL HIDDEN) children (under 15 years). Contravention of this rule may result in termination or extra charges. The by-laws of the strata scheme, which deal with matters such as noise, state and use of common property will be enforced. Unauthorised gatherings are prohibited.
Smoking Smoking is not permitted in the property.
Guest Responsible for Security and State
The guest is responsible for ensuring the security and state of the property and its contents during the stay. This includes locking the property during outings and on departure. The guest will also be liable for, and must promptly notify the agent of, damage in the property other than from fair wear and tear.
Cleaning
The property will be clean on arrival and will be cleaned on departure. Excessive dirt and stains must be cleaned up promptly by the guest.
Charges for Excessive Use of Electricity
An allowance of 12kWh/day is made for electricity, which has been sufficient for most guests (at $0.274/kWh this produces a quarterly bill of approximately $300). The power meter will be read before and after the guests’ stay. The agent reserves the right to charge for usage exceeding the allowance at $0.30/kWh.
Rubbish Bins are located in the basement, near the lift.
Linen Fresh linen will be provided at the start of the stay.
Pets No pets are allowed unless payment and prior arrangements have been made. A suitable sleeping container must be provided by the guest for any pets.

Parking: The carspace is numbered 389, on the left just after entering the carpark under building A.
Public Transport Information: From the airport, catch a train to Central and then a train to Flemington Station. To plan a trip, see (website hidden)
Road Transport Information: From the airport, take the M5 East Freeway west to King Georges Rd and then travel north along the A3, exiting at Marlborough Rd and looping under Centenary Drive at Parramatta Rd, before looping under Centenary Drive again and immediately left into Centenary Park, 81-86 Courallie Ave. Proceed through the arched gate and Building A is a further 300m in the right, just before two palm trees.
Food: Tea, coffee, beverages, some breakfast food (enough for two people for three days), some dry food, tinned food and condiments are provided free of charge.
Internet: Fast internet is provided via a WiFi (wireless) router. The wireless network SSID is “Hempel Property Services”. The security password is “aa00aa00”. The download speed slows to 256kB/s in the event that the 60GB/month quota is reached.
Phone: Costs of any VoIP calls will be deducted from the security (website hidden) and DVD: The TV in the main bedroom is set to receive input from, and can be adjusted via, the set top box (AV1). The TV and DVD player in the living room are operated via remote control.
Laundry and Bathroom: Detergents, softeners and stain removers are provided in the laundry. Drying facilities are located on the balcony off the second bedroom.

We had difficult time reaching the host when approaching Sydney. Phone number was not answered and message was not replied promptly. Then we had to call AirBnb to pass the message to the host. Finally we received the check in information via email. It is advertised the apartment should be available after 2:00 pm. But we arrived at 7:00pm in the evening. The host is still busy with cleaning. The pillow case and some bed sheets were still damp. not having enough time going through dryer. Quality of linen was so bad that we have to go to shop to buy our own linen. All pillows look horrible with stains all over. Having spent close to $2000 for five 5 nights, we expect better than that. having said that the location is close to Olympic park. The apartment has the potential to be a good airbnb accommodation with good linen and good furniture. We were disappointed it was not up to the standard.

Asked the host if it was able to check in early, as we had an early flight, and was told we were able to, but upon arriving, found out that the host was running late, and had only left one set of keys for us, when there was 3 sets advertised as well as a swipe pass for parking. Apartment was quite dirty, and a noticeable number of cockroaches were present. Also the rangehood vent wasn't working and so was not ideal to cook, and we didn't know about this until after we had bought supplies. We were then notified that the host tried to charge us for a rip in the bar stool that was already present before we even arrived, and for a set of keys that we were actually never given, as we had to ask the host for his keys, as there were only one set available out of an advertised 3 sets. The pots, pans and plates were also quite dirty, and the kitchrn cleaning utilities were also unclean. Was expecting something of a better quality for the price that we were paying. Would be a good place if it were fixed up and above issues remedied, but unfortunately it wasn't that case for us when we stayed, and so we were quite displeased with the apartment.

This is my second time using Airbnb to book for my stay. Below is a summary of my review:- (1) Address is truly misleading, I spent more than 1 hour+ to wait for my driver to reach me, while waiting, I need to keep calling the taxi operator to track the arrival time. When arrived, the driver keep scolding me for stay at this place. :( (2) Cleanliness, towel inside washing machine when arrival. The balcony, I dare not to go out to use the BBQ facility due to hygiene concern, too much dust. (3) Being ask for penalty on the swelling part just because it was not there before as according to host. But I do not agree my stay which less than 1 week will make the swelling. (4) Drainage/ ventilation system at the bathroom is terrible, it had unpleasant order despite we throw the rubbish regularly. (5) Air conditioner only available at living room & one of the bed room. In fact, I book it too last minutes, thus I opt to choose this accommodation, as the host responded quite fast, despite I have seen there were bad reviews (mostly the same as mine, location...cleanliness..etc) But, no next time for me. Good lesson learnt.

Apartment was described accurately, and was fairly neat and tidy with the exception of stale cigarette smell that soaked into absolutely everything. Otherwise, it was as described.
