Lovely boat, love the record player, chilled out host, there was a mix up over the number of rooms we were supposed to have but resolved by the host well. Quiet and picturesque location and very quaint boat.

really, really awesome stay. this is a beautiful 106year old dutch sailing barge. there are three rooms of four bunks (plus the hosts quarters, which are separate) when i visited it was a 10min cycle from the city centre and some others were staying and got the bus no problem. bernard was very helpful, friendly and relaxed. he was great at communication and approved me to stay at very short notice. he gave us some good orientation and maps of the city to borrow. he also told us about he history of the host and how he came to acquire it. the ship truly is beautiful with a lovely old record player inside and a collection of records, mostly blues and classic rock. there's a large dining/communal area plus cooking facilities excellent stay for the same price (or less) than a bunk in some grimy city centre hostel. fully recommended!

Great stay in his great boat! We were 5 friends for the new year and it was perfect : good equipment, Bernard is very nice and we were located in a typical neighbourhood with "small streets with small houses" cool for walking and not that far from the central station with the bus (15min). I highly recommend!

Very nice experience. Bernard wait to my arrival that I thought a little bit late, but the next day a group of friends come later than me. Nice boat, very characteristic place to stay in Amsterdam. If you need to leave soon at the morning you have to organize yourself with taxi because the firt bus come at 6.00 AM

A unique experience. The boat is in perfect shape and has better infrastructure than most hostels. It has a record player, a kitchen and a bath room. On our arrival it was hard to find it, though. Bernard also lives in the boat. He is relaxed, friendly, has a good taste in music and is happy to help or share his knowledge about the town. And he speaks german. Highly recommended!

Good trip in Amstedam ! The ship is 30 minutes walk from city center of Amsterdam, it's a good solution to enjoy the city with friends and discover a different way of living. The ship is nice and enjoyable. Bernard is a welcoming and helpful host. He gave us a lot of tips and good spot to see in Amsterdam.
