My two friends and I enjoyed our stay at Dario's apartment. It was close to the metro and train stations, and it was within walking distance to the Colosseum, Forum, and Wedding Cake. Thanks for hosting us, Dario!

This place is so amazing! Very central location in a beautiful building in about the same block as what I believe is called the Church of Santa Maria Vittoria (Bernini art). Everything is very close - restaurants, grocery store, pharmacia, Metro, train station, and more. There is a secure door at the sidewalk. There is beautiful antique furniture, 2 large bedrooms each with their own bathroom with modern showers. 2 comfortable large queen size beds and the living space/dining/kitchen area are between the 2 bedrooms so there is much privacy. High ceilings, big windows with good shutters. If you like to have mostly darkness while you sleep (naps or at night) this is the place for you with wood panels that open and close on the inside of the windows. They act like blackout shades. The kitchen has a microwave and cooktop without an oven which was fine for us - we did not cook in as there is so much great food nearby. There are modern air conditioners mounted high on the walls in each bedroom and the living room with remote controls. We did not use them because the breeze from the open windows was perfect. A note that the twin bed is small and is in a space between the second bedroom and the bathroom. It would work best for a child or small person if you need it. We were fine. The whole place is large, clean and beautiful. Regarding stairs, the elevator takes you to floor 5 then there are 8 steps down then 8 steps up to the landing at the front door - also 8 steps on the ground floor to where the elevator is located. So not for a wheelchair which we did not need. We were traveling with our 70s year old mother and the steps were not a problem at all for us. Also the steps are wide, made of gorgeous marble and have a good hand railing. Dario was the best host. He met us on the sidewalk, carried out luggage up, explained everything well, answered all our questions promptly and patiently in person and by text. He also arranged our taxi to the airport and helped us the morning we left. I would love to return to stay in this place anytime. Dario made our stay in Rome fantastic. Thank you.

Nice comfortable appartments in a good area, with vintage furniture, sculptures and modern equipment. Our seven-year twin girls felt themselves like princesses in a palace. :-) A subway station is just in a few minutes walk. Trevi fontain is about 15 minutes walk. Dario, the host of the apartments, is a very nice person attentive to details. It was a bit cool in Rome those days, but the appartments were warmed before our arrival. The heating system is easily activated by one button. Thanks to Dario we were also informed about nearby restaurants and the best ice-creem :-)

About Host: We reached about an hour late but Dario was still waiting for us when we arrived at the apartment. He took us around the tour of the house and made us comfortable by explaining all the features of the house. He was most helpful in providing all the details about tourist spots that we needed to visit. He provided us with a map of the city and marked all the areas that we wanted to visit and also provided details on public transport. He gave details on places to eat, supermarkets etc. He also helped us in booking taxi when required. He also came back when we were leaving and helped us with luggage. You can't get more helpful host than Dario. About place: Very comfortable two bedroom apartment. Heating works well to keep you warm. The apartment is maintained very well. Kitchen is small and compact but has all the amenities that you require for travel cooking. Only issue that we faced was with respect to opening the building door with the key that Dario gave us. Most of the time, door is open but we were there during the weekend and holiday and so door was closed. But we were able to overcome that with someone or the other helped us to get in as there are lots of apartment in that building.
