This delightful 250-year-old cottage is a former miller's house. It nestles on the edge of fields in a stunning garden close to Phantassie Doocot, the River Tyne weir and fish ladder, and the ancient Preston Mill. There are gorgeous views all around.
You may be lucky and spot the kingfishers and otters on the river. Only the birdsong will disturb your peace, yet you'll be just a half mile from all the village amenities - including two pubs and a general store.
You will have your own patio garden with garden furniture and a bird table. We'll give you plenty of birdseed too. There's a cosy open fire in the book-lined sitting-room and we'll provide all your logs free of charge. The cottage is equipped to a high standard.
Interaction with guests
Our home is the adjoining East Wing, so we'll be on hand to help if needed, but you won't see us unless you need us. The West Wing is completely self-contained.
We'd be delighted to welcome your dog(s) - no extra charge. The cottage is 800 metres off-road so ideal for pets, and the beaches are dog-friendly.
Please arrive after 3pm and leave before 10am on changeover days.
Please do not smoke in the cottage.
