About this listing
A totally unique, spacious sunny room in a converted warehouse, very cool hip artists home. Great access to transport links to Gatwick airport and to all of London. Secret garden entrance , roof terrace good restaurants bars and a safe area.
Aritst's home, unique old converted victorian warehouse with an alleyway garden featured in the Nov issue of Gardens Illustrated. Super cool vibe , best location in London for transport, 5 mins walk from Clapham Junction British rail which is on mainline to Gatwick ( a 35 mins journey ). Often used for video and photographic shoots .... its like Harry Potter meets Rumi, east meets west !
Northcote road only 1 min. walk, cafes, bars, shops, a wonderful selection of resurants and world cuisines to be tempted by and a great Saturday market. It is in its own bubble, set off the main road and is a secret gem. It's totally fab as you walk through a tropical garden of Banana plants, palm trees and flowering ginger plants. You might forget where you are in the world!
There is a massive open plan spacious sunny loft room (more like your own flat except there is a shared modern kitchen which you walk through) with a double (futon) bed and open wood fire place with an en-suite bathroom, larger walk in wetroom shower on lower floor (extremely easy access). The double (futon) bed is elevated on a wooden deck giving an extremely heavenly like touch, THIS IS A TOTALY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. Slightly more elevated above this bed is a smaller single bed so can easily fit 3 people in this space altogether. The room is more like a large flat than a room.
Huge flatscreen HD TV is avaliable with PS3 and many games and large mixed genre DVD/BLU-RAY collection if needed.
My style is very rustic with newly refurbished modern touches, very boho chic with a spiritual slant.
Organic breakfast can happily be provided (if ordered in advance), all vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers are all invited as I am a fantasic cook in all areas!
If weather permits breakfast can be served on a very moroccan style roof deck surrounded by fabulous plants, olive trees swaying grasses and silver willows. We are not overlooked except by British Airways and migrating swallows!

Photographer , designer and Yoga teacher.I have a spiritual out look to life , I love beautiful unique and quirky things. I have 3 children, the eldest lives in Brighton, my son is studying A levels and my youngest 'bend it like Beckham' 15 yr old daughter attends a soccer school, so I have lots of space and time with my dog, part time projects and my Art, so I thought this would be a great way to open my house and meet some interesting people from all over the world. I have travelled a lot, drunk tea with the Dalai Lama, lived in a cave in India and been in a canoe with some tribesmen from Papua New Guinea ! I love world cinema , all types of Art especially Picasso, Antonio Tapies, Punch Drunk productions and Mark Rothko.I meditate daily and I shower on my roof terrace beneath the canopy of the open skies which I share with BA and the swallows ! I try to always be open minded and kind hearted..........Got lots of nice music , tropical plants and I love good natural foods !
Fav places in London .. Richmond park's ancient oak trees, Ottolungi, Sketch (toilets!) Electric cinema, Tate Modern, Brick lane, Battersea Power Station ( before it becomes Yuppy flats ) Southwark Cathedral and London's city expanding and ever changing skyline and my local Northcote Road !
