The space

This is a solid house that will be very comfortable with all the comforts of home. This is a walk up townhouse. You have to be comfortable with walking up and down stairs. There aren't pictures yet of the outside space backyard/terrace, it is small, but makes a huge difference to those houses without this option. The pictures give you a sense of the space, however this is really a pretty large house.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire house except grotto (basement, past a certain point) and the attic.

Interaction with guests

There is a contact for all information you would need during your stay. You can always email or call me and I will help you through whatever the issue or concern is.

The neighbourhood

The neighborhood is filled with small shops and amazing restaurants. There is a siesta in the middle of the day that you have to get used to. Stores and restaurants can be closed in the middle of the day.

Getting around

There are 2 ways of living here. You can rent a car in Roma and drive everywhere if your staying in the country. Or you can take a train to Chuisi from Rome or another city. Chuisi is 10 minutes away from the house by cab. You can get to any major city including Roma on the train. So it can be fun to be "stranded". Almost everything is available in the town by foot. If you are afraid of fast driving I would suggest the second. However, the Italians are safe drivers, but pretty aggressive. Coming from Manhattan, I have no problem driving everywhere here, and actually enjoy the order of things on the highway more in Italy. But it's not for everyone.

Other things to note

There are many attractions near by to the house. Multipulchiano is where they make the wine from, and has some amazing etruscan baths available to anyone. There s Perugia, which is big for art and museums, and is a huge college town. When you get here you feel very relaxed, it is another time almost. People are much more caring and slow than they are in Rome or another big city like Milan.

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 1PM

This house has expensive things in it and it is our house in Europe. We don't expect things to be abused or broken. Absolutely no smoking in the house. You will lose your security deposit if you smoke in the property anywhere but the terrazzo. There is a small back yard terrace to smoke. It's about respect and common sense.

My entire experience was exceptional from booking through our stay. Our host Michael responded immediately to our inquiry and provided lots of pre-stay information to make our rental smooth and enjoyable. The home and furnishings are notch, comfortable and well appoinmented throughout. Cetona is a gem of a village in the heart of southern Tuscany.

Michael User ProfileMichael is a superhost.

Born and raised in Manhattan (yes, I know, not many people are from here), I reside at the residence approximately 4 days out of the week. I like cooking and watching movies. Fitness is very important to me, so I workout a few times a week to balance my body. I also enjoy fun weekends out.
