The space

Located on a quiet, tree-lined street in Emeryville, minutes away from coffee, restaurants, fun bars, public parks and gardens; this private bedroom is in a spacious, 3 story, sunny 2-bedroom, 21/2-bathroom apartment with 30ft.ceilings and is situated in the most ideal and accessible neighborhood in the East Bay. The ground floor is airy, bright and spacious with a living room area, dining area, kitchen and half bathroom. The 2nd floor has a full bath/shower. The 3rd floor has the bedroom for rent with a queen bed and a half bathroom.

Free public transportation is just one block away. A shuttle (EmeryGoRound) runs 7 days a week, providing service to shopping (Bay Street Shopping Center), local businesses (Pixar, Bayer, Novartis, Cliff Bar, UC Berkeley), and to BART, making for a speedy shot to both downtown San Francisco (Union Square, The Ferry Building) and, in the opposite direction, UC Berkeley, Downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt. A drive to downtown SF over the Bay Bridge takes 20 minutes. This apartment is located on a bicycle way which runs from Oakland to Berkeley (pedestrian walkways intermittent) making for a lovely place to get daily exercise as well as a convenient 7 minute walk to the Berkeley Bowl, the Bay Area's most abundant market. An adventure in the Napa Valley is only a scenic 40 minute drive away. As the possibilities are endless, I would be delighted to help you with additional local recommendations!

I have put a lot of love into this apartment to make it my own. To put it like a true native Californian, the place has wonderful energy! It is spotless, spacious, private and decorated in a minimalist, warm, fashion. It is definitely a work in progress and I hope it will always continue to be. I will do all that I can to help make my home yours so that you are able to enjoy real comfort and privacy in an escape from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.

There is a sun deck balcony on the third floor and an enclosed back patio space with a garden. You can help yourself to any herbs you might want to use for cooking.

You will be provided with: Comfy linens, clean towels, ample closet and dresser space, a fully equipped kitchen, wireless Internet, an iPod dock, books and magazines. There is also a washer and dryer in the apartment.

As this is my home, I will be very happy to assist you as best I can with information about the area or recommendations. You will be free to reach me at any time, day or night. I will also make myself accessible during the booking process if you need any advice or recommendations, from directions from the airport to suggestions for exploring the City and beyond. I adore my home, neighborhood and San Francisco and want you to experience all of the riches the Bay Area has to offer!

Molly is warm and welcoming host and her home is very tastefully decorated. The street is quiet but still close to many things.

I stayed with Molly while starting a new job and moving to the area. Molly and her place are wonderful. She keeps her home impeccably clean and the set up provides for a great deal of privacy ~ you basically have the whole third floor of her home to yourself. The only draw back, in my opinion, was that I didn't get to see Molly very much because we worked opposite schedules. I hope to maintain a connection with her now that I will be living in the area. Molly is a genuinely kind person with a deep respect for the mutual trust it takes to have a guest in her home. I feel so lucky to have found her. She made my transition to the area so much easier. I couldn't recommend her or her place more highly.

I stayed with Molly for almost 2 months and she was such a phenomenal host. Her place is so nice and elegantly set up. Molly and her place are very rich in culture. She has excellent taste in wine and food and was very accommodating to whatever I needed. The room has the most amazing balcony that it's safe to say I lived on. Molly was such an awesome host and I would definitely recommend staying with her! Thank you for everything Molly!

Throughout fours years going to school as a foreign student and 8 months of living in other places in the bay area, this is the place I can call home. Molly manages this place a s a place that you can escape from the real world and you find it safe and cozy to reenergize and rest well. I call it the magical blue house! I feel so lucky to find Molly and this magical place in my very first year of living in the bay area. This place locates in a quiet and safe neighborhood. There is EmeryGoAround to go to bart station and of course other part of Emeryville. I believe it goes to some parts in Oakland and Berkeley too. Grocery store is in walking distance (less than 20 minutes); a shopping center is also close (about 20 minutes walk). In conclusion, if you want to come stay here because of work, study or long vacation, this is seriously, the best place you should live in.

I had a really great time staying at Molly's place! It is clean, spacious, full of interesting art and really comfy. :) The Kitchen gives you a lot of room to work/cook with, and the sofa is just the place to be. Her place offers an interesting combination of a very private feeling when you are staying in the 3rd. story bedroom and a very welcoming, comfortable feeling on the ground floor when you are just hanging out. Molly was an amazing Host! She made me feel very comfortable during the whole time I was staying there. She is a kind, welcoming, and bright person, overall just somebody you enjoy being around. I can only recommend visiting Molly and her cozybeautiful place when you are planning a trip to the Bay Area. Thank you so much Molly!

Molly's space is artistic, calming, beautiful and a truly peaceful place. I had the best sleep in my life. Having just relocated, my time here was a gift. She is a perfect hostess who is always wants to make sure her guests are beyond comfortable. She also accommodated several unplanned schedule changes, which she didn't have to do. You get your own private floor with a bathroom and amazing natural light and a balcony. Rare combination of comfortable, clean, cozy and beautifully organized and furnished space on all levels of the house. Private and a bigger area to share. Bed was better than tempur-pedic! Everything one needs from wifi, to washer & dryer, Wish I could have stayed longer! Free shuttle a block away to anywhere and everywhere plus plenty of walk to restaurants and cafes of every type. I would rather stay here than the Four Seasons. Objets d'arts everywhere to inspire creativity and relax at the same time. Really nice neighbors, everyone says hello. Best place ever.

Staying at Molly's house for a month was an absolute delight. Molly and I didn't get to meet until after a couple of days, but I had already formed a very positive impression of her by that time. Her house has a tranquil atmosphere, and it is clean, inviting, spacious, modern, and indeed sunsplashed! Her couch is way too comfy, and the mattress of the bed is firm and very comfortable too. Because you have the whole floor to yourself (bedroom, balcony, and a toilet + washstand), there is a very private feel to it. The bedroom gets a lot of sunlight (as does the rest of the house), and there is plenty of room to store your clothes and other belongings. Molly's street feels safe and her neighbors are very kind. There are bike roads that connect you to the rest of the area, and there's a free shuttle service to the MacArthur BART station on weekdays. The only (ONLY) downside of this accommodation that I can think of is that there's sometimes noise from the Amtrak station, which is a few blocks from Molly's house, but I got used to that after a few days and it wasn't that bad anyway. Molly is the host I would want to be. The bedroom was clean, airy, and welcoming upon arrival, and she left a handwritten note on the table to welcome me. She is kind, respectful, easy-going, open-minded, bright, considerate, a great conversational partner (but only if you want to--she respects people's personal space), and all in all a very interesting person to be around. I've had an amazing time here. Thank you so much for everything, Molly!
