This is a room that can fit up to 3 people! It is perfect for a family or a small group. It has a sense of privacy since it is on the first floor and has a separate entrance from the main house, but will still retain access to the common areas.

The space

The Bedroom and Bathroom are on the first floor separate from the house. It will give you a bit more privacy than Bedroom #1 which is in the main house.

Guest access

You'll have access to the common areas: kitchen, living room, deck, and yard.

Interaction with guests

I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. Some days, you may not see me as I work long hours. Some days, I'll be there all day. If I'm out of the house while you're staying with me, just send me a text if you have any questions.

Other things to note

Please be aware that there are animals. I do rescue work, so my animals are super important to me. I hope that you love animals just as much. If you have allergies, then this house might not be your best bet. If you are travelling with children, please be respectful with the animals.

You will be staying in the rainforest with tropical temps. Do not be surprised if you encounter bugs, snails, frogs, lizards. I do my best to keep things clean but sometimes nature finds it way inside. I do not fumigate with chemicals as I do my best to have as little effect on my local bio niche as possible.

Towels were soft, beds were comfortable, the downstairs rooms in which we stayed were very clean, and Liz was incredibly warm and engaging (as were her animals). Her cat was super chill. Location was excellent (on top of a steep hill), we got sounds of the rainforest all night (though it was very quiet otherwise). We arrived at night and she and her animal posse came to greet us - since GPS wasn't all that helpful, Liz's step by step directions were. Wifi didn't really work downstairs because of the thick concrete, but worked upstairs. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Elizabeth's place for 2 nights as a closer rental to the Yunque. Elizabeth told us about hiking trails and suggestions about where to go and park while hiking in the park. The house was exactly what we expected and we loved hanging out with her dogs and cat. We enjoyed relaxing outside on her patio, listening to the sounds of the wildlife, and eating meals while overlooking her property. We would definitely stay here the next time we venture out to Puerto Rico.

This is the perfect spot to stay after hiking El Yunque or just to get out of the city. Elizabeth has a peaceful spot in the jungle perfect for recharging. Also, the bed is really comfortable. Tip: don't use the airbnb map to find it, have Elizabeth send you a pin in Apple/(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps!

Elizabeth gave a detailed description of how to get to the place. We arrived pretty late and use the kitchen to cook dinner. The place is very nice with everything we need.

Elizabeth's house is a tropical wonderland of beautiful plants and friendly critters. The host herself is incredibly welcoming and easy going. The room we were in was clean, comfortable, and very secure. When trying to get there, use the GPS coordinates as the address won't get you anywhere near her location. This is the type of place that could be a vacation all on its own.

I liked it so much, I extended for another week until my trip finishes. I'd highly recommend Elizabeth's place to the AirBnB community. Elizabeth has done so much for me on this trip. The animals are a pleasure. I was happy to find her place in the el Yunque mountains. Elizabeth saved me in Puerto Rico.

I have a beautiful home, and love spending time outdoors and around nature.
My idea of hosting is a "hands off/hands on" approach. I find that many people have their own ideas of what they want while travelling. If that is the case, more power to you. Some people are eager to learn more about PR and its attractions. Since I worked 2 years in tourism, I'd be glad to help travelers learn about the island.
I enjoy having guests coming in and out of my home. I get to meet the world without leaving my tiny island!
