We both worked the crazy corporate life until we could no longer take it! We bought the house next door to the cottage about 14 years ago as a place to get away. And I guess you could say we like the charm of older homes. We have been lovingly bringing it back to its origional glory. We then purchased Helen's Cottage in 2014 with the idea to turn it into an Air BnB. The cottage which was built in 1967 has a "prairie style" low pitched roof, wide overhanging eaves and vertical lines. We love our small quiet bayfront community for the beauty of living along the Chesapeake. And we are happy to share the experience of the Eastern Shore with those who also want to get off the grid for awhile! We are kayakers, boaters, bicyclists and purveyors of back porch conversation! Although we have 3 felines, we do not allow pets in the cottage. Fred, a beige tabby is our indoor/outdoor kitty. He can often be found sleeping in the planters by the front door!
