This place is great and a great value. Julie is just lovely. She responds quickly, is super helpful, very accommodating and quite caring. She arranged a car to pick us up at the airport at 1am when we arrived which was awesome. The room is large, clean and quite comfortable. It is located just on the edge of the Old Quarter near the best food stalls where all the locals eat. For us the location was perfect. It's just enough away from the noise and tourist traps of the backpackers haven (5 -7 minute walk), but it's bustling with local markets/merchants and again, the best local food, not necessarily catered to westerners. There is a nice cafe next door, and I think they serve beer, but i suppose you should know the closest bar is probably about an 8 minute walk away. You can walk everywhere and it is pretty centrally located. Julie can arrange travel and trips for you, as well as advise you on just about anything related to exploring Hanoi or Vietnam. Oh, we also had a lovely balcony that overlooked the street and it was fun to watch the bustle below. It can be a bit festive if you require absolute silence in the morning while you sleep, but, you know, it's a city, and the Old Quarter is loud. It's definitely on the quiet side for this area, again away from that backpacker area. For us, I was glad to not be in the middle of that touristy hubbub, but close enough to it. Also, we had a really late flight out and she was gracious enough to offer to hold our bags and give us a late check out. To allow us to keep the room until 5pm or 9pm, she also offered us a very fair, very reasonable partial rate, without paying for an entire extra day. That was really cool. Definitely recommend this place.

This was definitely a home away from home for my friend and I. We arrived with no itinerary and only a 2 day booking with Julie. At the end of our 10 days we had traversed north and central Vietnam with an itinerary that Julie crafted and organised for us. She is incredibly patient, warm and knowledgeable. The whole staff at Old Quarter was warm and loving. The location is also excellent. We were an easy walk from the lake the French Quarter and great eateries. Staying at the Old Quarter hostel was one of the highlights of our trip.

Julie was extremely welcoming prior to confirmation of booking, during the stay, and thereafter. Having to plan last minute - a few days before the actual stay to be exact. She provided not only the right listing to stay at but also ample reasons and assurance that should I be careless, I am in a good place to ensure and enjoyable trip. It was super easy for me to rate all categories of this airbnb listing as 5-stars without much thought as hardware and software was consistent. I cannot ask for more! I was mostly out for day tours (arranged through Julie and no complaints really) with my mother and the great thing about this property is its strategic location in the Old Quarters and what it has to offer for any first-timer to Hanoi. "Hanoi Old Quarters" and you see those beautiful bamboos stilts and ladders lined up? If you stay at Julie's, we are just about right there. We walk pass this very view everyday. The amenities were clean and we felt safe and restful staying at Julie's. Her fellow host/staff were very knowledgeable and provides a localised perspective to what will other wise be any normal trip which is greatly appreciated. As fans of local street fare, we manage to reach what we have to within walking distance. Egg Coffee, Banh Mi, Pho etc. The leisurely walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and the weekend night market was a real treat in the cool weather. On the morning of checking out, my phone failed me by auto-updating the timezone causing me to be late for my taxi pick-up! Julie was very professional in ensuring services are promptly accommodated and rendered without much fuss. They even got me a birthday cake - hoping to catch me during breakfast (eventually packed nicely as I was running late). I brought it home on my flight back to Singapore. It is the little attention to details and I wish them much success in running this listing! Thank you so much for everything! :)

Very friendly staff. The room was clean. The breakfast is good, good ham&cheese omelet!, fruits, tea, and other options. Very easy to move around using Uber. I did not walked too much on the neighborhood although there are many food options and the shops are used to foreigners in the area.

I am a friendly local host:). I run a small hostel of 10 rooms which is considered as my 2nd home. Being working in hospitality, i really love traveling and meeting people for making new friends and exchanging our different cultures.
I got married with a great man who's an IT. His name is Duc. He is a friendly, kind and sweet man just like me: D. I found it very lucky to have him in my life. When i was pregnant, my favorite drink was Mocha Ice Blended. After that, i delivered my son and i have my Mocha now. He's super cute little man.
I am working in tourism industry for more than 6 years, since i graduated. I really love my job and love welcoming guests from all over the world to show a very peaceful and beautiful Vietnam. After long time hard working, i start doing my own business with my manager who has been with me all the time since i first got the job. Business is very important to me, but my main objectives are to bring you all good services at best prices, protect and provide you all the tips on travelling around Vietnam. I work by heart to earn experiences and friends. I believe that you all would have a great holiday with us and become our family members after that. Now, pl book a flight and stay with us. It's worth !!!
