As newly arrived residents of Hanoi, Valerie proved invaluable in the advice she gave us about adapting in Vietnam. Her house was a home away from home and eased us into the rush that is Hanoi. Thanks for a lovely stay

Valerie and her family are very gracious and helpful hosts. All accommodation was as shown. I opted to add in the breakfast on two mornings and it was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore Hanoi from a more local perspective.

Valerie and her family were more than accommodating for us. They were well informed and gave us several great tips about Hanoi and what to do even on the least busiest Vietnamese holiday of the year. The house was beautiful and in a quiet and safe area. Also, their cat, Asia was the most hospitable cat I'd ever seen, definitely brightened our stay in Hanoi. If I could have chance to visit Hanoi again, I will choose Valerie's house again.

Valerie and Pascal are great hosts. You get the best of two worlds: the east, Informal, friendly side of b big hosted by a family, and the privacy of a hotel, since you have you are slim in the last floor of their house. The place is clean, the hosts are fully bilingual in English and French, and they are genuinely nice. The only thing that might be a problem for some (it wasn't for me) is that you Alsace to share the bathroom with the family.

Thanks Behrang for you nice review ! It was a pleasure to talk with you on so many subjects even in French, you are amazing ! As it is said on the site it is a large share bathroom from 7.30 till 8.00 am before we go to work on week days and you got the use of the all 3 levels of the house the rest of the day. Bonne suite de voyage à vous !!!

Valerie's home is super nice and in an excellent neighborhood. It's a mix of upscale and working class and is very quiet - if you are a sensitive sleeper like me you will rest well here. It's a five-minute walk from the lively, lovely West Lake. Valerie was super helpful and her whole family is a extremely friendly. If you want to see a bit of the real Ha Noi (and not the overpriced and debauched Hoam Kiep and Old Quarter), I recommend staying here. Great value for money!!

Valerie was so very welcoming, even coming to the taxi to help with our luggage. Her house is stylish and elegant and in a quiet area away from traffic. When we arrived (early) Valerie gave us HER breakfast and made us feel totally at home. She was full of information and spent time with us to explain how everything (the house and Ha Noi!)worked. The room is large, light and beautiful and has a balcony. We felt privileged to stay there. Breakfast was perfect. It was all left out for us to eat at our leisure. We couldn't have chosen a more lovely house or more lovely family to stay with. We loved it!
