Followed his instructions and easily found his house via bus # 32 (220¥)and minimal (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps navi required. He welcomed me with drinks and snacks. Area was super quiet, which suits me very well. There is a 7-11 nearby. He sent me back to the station when I checked out the next day. Super friendly host. He even made a simple breakfast for me. Some tips would be : Bus # 34 goes to the same area, but via a diff road, so make sure you have cached (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps to navi easily. It might be cheaper to checkout early and leave bags at a train station locker to save return bus fare costs depending on number of bags.

Hideaki is 5 stars, super kind and warm. He gives everything to make you feel at home. His house is 12 minutes train from Kyoto and then less than 1km distance. The room has the standard size we saw in Japan (enough) and you feel very invited to use the other spaces of the house. The town Takatsuki is calm, little and charming specially the south side. There are eating and buying options at 5 minutes walking from Hideaki's place. Wish you the best Hideaki!

He's very nice, easy going host with a musical skill. Thanks to his hospitality to pick me up I didn't have to worry about getting the place from the station.

Hidaiki is a lovely man; humble and friendly. He picked me up from the station and was extremely patient since I was lost and made him wait. The room was basic but comfortable and private. The station is 10-15 mns walk. By the way, I found out afterwards that the Suntory distillerie is only a few stations away :) Overall, I had a nice stay!

Hideaki was a wonderful host and it was a pleasure to stay at his home. He picked us up from the JR station which was a huge help. Hideaki showed us a great example of everyday life in Japan. Staying in his cozy tatami room was a highlight of our trip. His place is great for anyone who wants a perfect stay with access to both Kyoto and Osaka as well as Nara.

What a nice stay in Hideaki place! He is a really nice and generous person, and a very good guitarist too ;-) He teach us a lot of things about Japanese culture and how to make Japanese beans cake. We'd like to stay longer! The place is a little far from Kyoto but very convenient, and Takatsuki is a beautiful city. Thanks a lot for everything and hope to see you again!

We found the stay at Hideaki's to be one of the highlights of our trip. Extremely friendly and happy to help us experience Takatsuki. The place is really spacious and the bedding was very comfortable.

It was to share house in Perth and around the Australia working holiday. Guitar I like, I like the bike, work is computer-related, PC freely You can use.
Shopping in Osaka(my business life), the ancient culture in Kyoto(my university life), familiar with the fashion in Kobe(I was born), I will guide you. Soon tour and tasting near Suntory whiskey factory I can also guide. In addition, the Lake Biwa in the east of Shiga Prefecture, the largest lake in Japan, you can enjoy camping, fishing, nature, etc. lakeside round drive.
