Amy was very nice, she also speaks English, a great help in China. The neighbourhood is very convenient, almost across the street from Shanghai Centre and just up from the Kerry Centre. Its just on the corner of Shaanxi Road and Nanjing Road, so good for shopping. The place itself was a little tricky to find as it is just down a small lane off the main street.
I lived here 11 nights and the house feels very homely, and is well decorated. It is very nice inside and I feel Amy took great care to make it feel like you have everything you need. I would stay again for sure. Of note to some people you might find it's a bit small, especially the kitchen and the bathroom off the main bedroom, but it is totally packed with well designed cupboards so all the space is usable. The host lives in the apartment next door and was kind of enough to let me charge my electric scooter from her window each day.
Everything you need is in the house save a few minor things, like a can opener and a sharp knife. It might benefit from some real plates too and a bit more cutlery. Some English instructions for the washing machine wouldn't go amiss either. One final point, the little red sofas look great on the photo but we found them extremely uncomfortable, In all other respects would have to say it's a 4.8 out of 5 score.
Thanks Amy, you were a great host.
