A recently decorated double bedroom within a traditional stone terraced cottage, situated at the top end of Loanhead village, just outside of The City of Edinburgh. This is the perfect location for hill walkers, outdoor enthusiasts or people who simply prefer to stay somewhere a little more quiet and relaxed, but with the added benefit of being just a stones throw away from the city.

Breakfast is a buffet style help yourself, which I lay out on the kitchen trolly.
I aim to be a ethical consumer and my promise as an Airbnb host is to support local independent retailers rather than supermarkets. I do my best to provide local produce from The Newleaf Coop in Edinburgh or Edinburgh's farmers market which runs every Sat. Soya milk is provided as standard, please state if you'd prefer organic cows milk. Wholemeal bread, Filter coffee, a selection of tea, jam (sometimes from the farmers market) and fruit. If I have time I make granola and on cold days porridge in the slow cooker. I'd be very grateful if guests could let me know of any dietary requirements or preferences prior to check in, to avoid any unnecessary waste. I thank you in advance.
Use of internet (WiFi), linen and towels are all included in the price. The property also has double garage, that can be used for the storage of bicycles and outdoor equipment. A private carport parking at rear of property is available for visitors use. The kitchen includes patio doors leading to a private garden with decking and outdoor furniture.
The bathroom and kitchen are shared spaces.

If on the rare chance it's sunny, guests are more than welcome to relax outside, where I shall provide table & chairs.
Interaction with guests
I try to greet guests personally whenever possible. I like to hear about where my guests have come from and their travel stories. Some guests like to chat, some prefer their own space. I'm happy with either and endeavour to provide my guests with a relaxing and homely airbnb experience.
Other things to note
If you're unfamiliar with airbnb, then welcome :-). Most airbnb hosts run airbnb as an additional income to their full time job. We do our best to cater to each and every guest, each guest brings a new experience and offers us a chance to improve our service. Sometimes we get it just right, sometimes we fall short of peoples expectations. Please do give back constructive feedback, we value it.
Booking accommodation is a very lengthy and frustrating process, equally creating a listing that covers everything can take months of tweaking.
To help me and other airbnb hosts please include a photo and a brief sentence of whom you are, who you're travelling with and the reason for your visit. We're opening our homes to each other, so please invest some time in this, it means a lot.
