This gorgeous space is the perfect retreat for your stay in London. Seconds from Ealing Common tube station, 30mins to the city centre. Walk to one of our many parks or just relax, play records and appreciate the leafy, rooftop views.

The space

We have designed our space to make it as comfortable and relaxing as possible. In a big city like ours, we think you need your own little bit of zen after a long day.

We're musicians so everything here is set to inspire - books, art, records, instruments are all here for you to enjoy during your stay. Travelling yogis will find a mat and props.

Clothes storage, bedding, towels, toiletries and hair dryer are all provided.

This is very much our home, which we like to share when we're travelling, not a rental business, so it is homely with lots of picture and artwork etc and we're sure you'll respect our things. We do ask that you send a personal message with your booking to check we're the right fit for each other.

Guest access

You will have the loft all to yourself. It's a self-contained apartment in an Edwardian terrace.

There is a very comfy king sized bed, large central space with a breakfast table, plus a cosy sitting room area with a little sofa and giant bean bag.

The kitchen is lovely and bright. Help yourself to a range of spices, teas and condiments. All the foodie basics are here for you to use, so it will hopefully feel just like your kitchen at home. There's a washer/dryer (+ washing powder/detergent) for your clothes.

We love to bring a bit of nature inside with greenery and pot plants. Please give them a drink of water if you're staying more than a few days.

Although this is open plan living, the space is large and airy. If you are two friends travelling together or a couple with a child we can provide and extra single bed on the floor (comfy mattress) which you can slide around and put wherever you like. This will be a fully made up bed, and there's an extra nightly charge of £15 to have this option.

Interaction with guests

We are available to offer any advice throughout your stay, or answer any question or queries. Don't hesitate to ask.

We will leave our House Book on the dining table. In it you can find everything you need to know about the space... wifi code, recycling details, things to do and see in the area, restaurant tips etc. We think you'll find this super helpful.

Other things to note

We are literally seconds from Ealing Common tube stop. It's a cute, old station. As such, you can hear the trains come and go. We like to hear the world passing by, but we like to mention it here as some of our guests have commented on it in their reviews (read for yourself what people say). The trains stop between midnight and 12.30am so they don't disturb our sleep but if you know you are a very light sleeper this may not be the perfect place for you.

Please feel at home at the loft!

It's a quiet, residential street so do keep noise down later at night, particularly coming and going via the communal entrance to the house and stairs up to the loft. There are three flats in this house, and we're at the top. We have nice neighbours on the ground floor and first floor flats. It's not a party space, more of a relaxation hub.

The apartment is most comfortable for two people, but a third can be accommodated for a small extra nightly fee.

Please double lock the front door when leaving for the day.

Please don't leave the heating on when you go out. The flat heats up really quickly when you need it to.

Please leave the space as you found it. All the info you should need will be in the house book on the table.

It's no smoking here!

This apartment is a gem, situated minutes from the tube station ( tube is noisy but you soon get used to it and do not notice after the first night) and other local amenities. Lyla and her partner met us at the apartment showing us around and making us feel extremely welcome. The apartment is well equipped, clean and very comfortable, feeling very much like home from home. We had a problem with the plumbing which Lyla was unaware of but this was sorted quickly and efficiently even though it was a Sunday, they even left a box of chocolates to say sorry for the inconvenience although it did not inconvenience us at all. We would not hesitate to go back as this is a quite oasis after a day in the city.

Superbly appointed gorgeous loft apartment with very helpful host. The location couldn't be more convenient to shops and tube transportation. The loft had everything anyone could need and so my parents stay was an absolute joy.

The Loft is a really lovely, clean, comfortable, space to be in and the hosts have thought of everything to make it a home from home. I slept really well and wasn't bothered at all by the train line, which is just opposite (it's above ground tube trains so much quieter than mainline). I have fibromyalgia so am like the princess and the pea when it comes to beds. I was really comfortable on the good quality foam mattress. It was also great to have a bath, for the same reason. And, again, because of fibro, I'm really sensitive to smells and I was so delighted to find that the bedding hadn't been washed with strong smelling products (I noticed some ecover powder in the flat, which is what I use at home and imagine many people with sensory issues or sensitive skin do too). Lyla was so easy to deal with and check in, parking, and check out was about as straight forward as it could be. The tube station is very close - about a minute walk, and because it's zone 3, the tube was not too busy, even in morning rush hour. Obviously being in the attic, there are quite a lot of stairs up to the flat. That said, I arrived after playing in a concert and was able, with a little effort, to get my double bass up there. If you have mobility difficulties or need to come and go with a heavy item, you might want to consider this. I'll definitely be back next time I'm working in South Kensington for a few days. Thanks, Lyla!

The place was just like we expected it to be from the pictures. The location wasn't too much of a problem to us. Yes, you could hear the underground trains and sometimes planes flying over but it was definitely bearable and the noise stopped at around midnight. The loft was clean when we arrived and Lyla made sure to make our check in as easy as possible even though she couldn't meet us that day. Everything went smoothly and we didn't have any problems with the house or the neighbourhood. We would definitely recommend Lyla as a host, you won't be disappointed! (Just remember to mind your head walking around in the loft! haha) x

The location is simply great, easily accessible to the underground and supermarket. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, with close vicinity to a good Japanese restaurant and value-for-money cafes. The setting and arrangement of the apartment made my stay comfortable. Its Velux window invites lovely sunshine to the room, giving a danish touch of coziness! Of course the host is so communicative that you won't miss out anything you need to know!

I couldn't speak more highly of our experience staying here. Lyla was more than accomodating and made our stay so much easier. The appartment was perfect and brilliantly located. The tube is only minutes walk away and you can usually get anywhere in the main part of London within 20minutes or so. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend for everyone. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I love to travel, which I get to do all the time playing music and touring. I love listening to records, reading, writing and yoga. I also love my home, check out our listing The Loft, we want to share it with you.
