We enjoyed our time with Francois and Monique. The little cabin is certainly rustic, but for us, just what we were looking for! We loved listening to the frogs at night, and showering out in the open shower among the trees. It was nice to know (although we didn't need it) that there was a hot shower at the main house, if we wanted it. We also appreciated having a sink with running water out at the cabin to ourselves. It was a bit tricky to find, but once we found it, it was in a good location for villages all along the west coast of Basse-Terre. Two things to note: it felt completely safe, but there is no way to securely lock up the cabin -- we chose to bring our valuables in the car with us each day. And second, the path out to the cabin from the main house has some large rocks and is pretty uneven, so bring a light for the evenings! All in all we are very happy we chose to stay with Francois and Monique.

Absolutely amazing!! Love this place so much. Lovely hosts, comunication was perfect (english is not a problem). Next time I have to stay longer (everyone stay linger then 2nights!). The place is speechless. Every detail in the main house, cabin also!! Interior design manifique :)) Breakfast yummy! I recommend everyone who like quite, relaxing place with nature,... I m in love with this habitation <3 ! Petit Anse beach- excellent- with the grey sand from vulcano. The beach is near to habitation by car = 2,5km. And snorkeling is good there.

Romantic bungalow tucked away in the forest. Great place to relax. Loved the breakfast on the lawn. Be prepared to sacrifice some luxury if you stay here, but it is well worth it for the luxury of solitude.

I spent 5 nights chez François and had a lovely stay. This is a rustic cabin set away from the main property and surrounded by nature. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the porch at the end of the day and listening to the sounds of the island. I was visited by hummingbirds and small songbirds. The property is perfectly situated for exploring Basse Terre. It is a short drive to excellent beaches, diving locations, the wonderful Guadeloupe Zoo, various national parks, and the nearby town of Bouillante. I would recommend this place to anyone who really wants to experience the natural landscape during their stay in Guadeloupe.

Beautiful location. Hosts were very friendly and accessible. The "box" as they call it was very charming. Hosts speak English which was a plus. We hadn't realized that it was a shared bathroom, so at times we had to wait until others had used it. We brought our children, and were self-conscious about their abundant energy, but nobody complained. Still, I'd say not a great place for kids because there is a lot of interesting stuff in the main house that would be tempting for kids to get into. But for adults on a vacation it's a very unique, charming and beautiful place

What a gorgeous place to stay! Even when we arrived after sunset and walked down the small path to our bungalow in the woods, we realized we were staying somewhere special. The bungalow was exactly as describe: open to the outdoors with just what we needed. It is minimal--there is no flushing toilet at the bungalow itself and only an outdoor shower. But happily we found that even in the rain, it stayed very dry and cozy. Plus, what a treat to wake up to homemade jams and honey up at the main house. We loved our stay and all the beautiful snorkeling and hikes that was just a short drive away. Thanks to François and Monique for a wonderful introduction to Guadeloupe.
