A fairytale chateau in rolling countryside.

The space

The Grand Suite has two bedrooms (one double and twin beds plus a baby's room with a cot and changing station) It was originally the master bedroom at the Chateau and has lovely views of the gardens).
Château Ribagnac was built in 1580 and has been lovingly restored.
We can provide sumptuous evening meals or just B&B.
The rooms are all different with their own character, but all have lovely bright bathrooms. We have a mixture of antiques and quirky pieces with amazing fireplaces to snuggle up in front of in the Winter.
The atmosphere is friendly not stuffy, and the grounds are beautiful and spacious (86 acres!). We aim to make you feel at home while you experience a bit of history and style of times gone by....
We are easy to get to from Paris (only three hours and you breathe easy and enjoy the sound of birds and tranquility of the countryside). If you enjoy cities too, then we're about 20 minutes from historic Limoges.
Families are welcome (we have a great playarea) and couples will relax in the Honeymoon Suite or with a good bottle of wine from our cellar.
We have double rooms, family rooms or you can rent the whole Chateau. Discounts are available off season or for groups.

Guest access

Guests dine together at breakfast and for dinner (if you book dinner) it's one of the things people enjoy most! We have a large guest living room and a tearoom with kettle, fridge, microwave, tea & coffee. Shared heated swimming pool;

Interaction with guests

We're here to help plan your days out (including booking restaurants & activities) and will tell you the history of the chateau if you're interested!

Other things to note

We provide a delicious breakfast of fresh breads, croissants, home-made jams & fruit. Cereals and yogurts & tea, coffee, hot chocolate & fruit juice.

One of the most fabulous stays we have had. Colette and Patrick and their children were so accommodating. Absolutely will come back.

What an amazing venue. I love my time at Chateau Ribagnac staying in the Grand Suite.Meet some fabulous people while there & we all enjoyed first class meals by Chef Colette and was very impressed with Patrick's wine knowledge & the wine matches he create for us.All in all a very memorable experience. Very warm genuine people . I do hope to return at some stage.

This place has to be experienced. No pictures can do it justice. It's a full-body, full-immersion experience that starts with the long drive down a private road through the rolling, fragrant, bee-buzzing and butterfly-(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)ing greenery on either side, and ends, by the time your fate sees you sadly rolling away from this beautiful pile, with a sensation as if your soul itself has been dipped in chlorophyl and morning dew. Yes. It includes exquisite cooking, really world-class grub and grog - eye-wateringly refined stuff that you'd be hard-pressed to reproduce at home, but served simply, without pretension, letting the deliciousness live and breathe for itself if you will. As much as a foodie and architecture and history buff as you might be - as I am - in the end it all pales next to, or rather it only really shines because of, Colette and Patrick and their family and the life they've built here for themselves, for their children, and for us, lucky travellers who by chance or design spend some time with them in this happy place. Two thumbs up, to coin a phrase. I won't forget the one night I spent here in a hurry. I'm plotting my return with my wife and children.

My husband and I were both lawyers working in London and wanted to live somewhere great with our kids. We wanted a change of lifestyle to see more of each other and enjoy life! We enjoy having guests from all over the world, and love showing off the beautiful region where we live.
The best thing about having guests is discussing a little bit of everything and enjoying a glass of wine (or two).

Our motto: On their deathbed, nobody ever says they wished they'd spent more time at the office!
