Don't be fooled by the pictures. The area is noisy and difficult to negotiate. The place is clean but very sparse. No microwave or toaster and no outlet in the kitchen. We had to make our coffee in the living room on a stool.

Hello Kay, We are very sorry you felt it did not meet your standards. As you see we have many guests from around the world saying with us and loved the place from reviews. Sally from Massachusetts was with us from 1 month just prior to your visit. We believe in eco friendly appliances and a microwave is not one of them and is also clearly that we do not have one. There are outlets in the kitchen as I also explained, the extended outlet for appliances someone might have moved which it was, and to check in the bedroom. I offered for Luis to come over to check. This is a vintage 40's style cracker house that we have kept with the vernacular and ad not have clutter. Simple and sustainable is what we practice and as European we feel is more convenient and mindful of environmental impact. The caretaker was there today in fact and the outlet box that was in the kitchen was moved to the bedroom. The stove and washer dryer have outlets as well in the kitchen or they also could not function. Sorry you had trouble with the Directv but I did also explained you cannot change the channels using the TV remote, and or move the TV from channel 3 or then Directv does not function. We are 5 miles from the beach and it is a very simple drive and less than a mile to downtown Stuart. Most people simple use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps to navigate where they are going or GPS. I am sorry you had so much trouble finding your way around. We are off a main street that takes you to any location in town or beach. We hope you will find something more suitable on your next trip to Stuart. It is a beautiful town but maybe not your style. Thank you for your visit in any case and best wishes.

Sparkling clean and fairly close to town. Quiet neighborhood.

Response from Rosalie:
Ok, we thought of building shelves in the closet in lieu of a dresser since the bedroom is small and the front as a dressing room so to speak. We did have a toaster. I will have to find out what happened to it. Yes we can also put a microwave again. we had one and someone put metal in it and it broke. There is much to learn about people in this adventure. Luis and Maggi are very helpful and can do this if you decide come back. Not all visitors are the same, as you might understand. We constantly make changes and try to upgrade to guests request when we have return guests especially can always organize this for you. It was a pleasure to host you. Be well, and good wishes always. Thank you Sally.

Lovely place to stay. Convenient location, only 10 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from the grocery. I had a great time staying here.

I stayed for a week visiting my son. The house is very clean and comfortable. Rosalie has updated the interior with unique touches (pull chain lights, bamboo floors, walk in shower, nice quilts) which add to the ambiance. The bed was comfortable, with a foam mattress. I slep…

The cottage was lovely. It brought me back to when I was growing up and things were a lot "simpler". Great quiet neighborhood where neighbors waved and said hello when they saw us.
