The house is large with plenty room for everyone. 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles, 1 twin and 1 bunk beds. 1 very large bathroom and 1 further shower room. Controlled underfloor heating. Use the bikes, canoes, fishing rods supplied on the sunny days and should it rain? Keep the kids entertained in the basement games room, you won't even hear them!

Games equipment and use of our bikes, canoes and any other sports equipment. There are tennis courts just beyond the village.

The neighbourhood

Tighnabruaich is one of the hidden gems of the West Coast. It's very quiet but with enough nearby to keep everyone happy. Hotel bars and restaurants. Excellent walking and cycling, fishing for mackerel from the nearby pier. We have bikes, canoes and fishing rods for guests use. BBQ on the beach, it's all here.
Jump in the car for visits to luxurious Portavadie Marina and Spa, take the ferry to Tarbert. Or just walk the beach.

Getting around

There is a local taxi service should you want to leave the car behind.

Other things to note

No car? It's still possible to get here. Travel from Glasgow onboard the Waverly, the worlds last sea going paddle steamer. The Waverly stops at Tighnabruaich pier on Sat' and Wed' during the summer months.
Or take a short trip onboard from Tighnabruaich, or just revel in the sight of this beautiful boat sailing through the Kyles.

Try out the new restaurant in the village, Botanica.

Visit Portavadie (4miles) and swim in the largest outdoor infinity pool in Scotland. It's bliss, even if it's raining.

My favourite is just to ditch the car for the week and walk everywhere.
