This quaint house was in a small, quiet village and perfect for getting a real taste of Vermont. There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't already in the house, it was fully supplied and well thought out. The host was very readily accessible by email and very sweet. The sulphur/iron smell in the water wasn't too bad, and we got used to it after a little while. There was a Brita filter pitcher for water in the refrigerator and it tasted fine. There were sleds to use, plenty of movies to watch on Netflix and board games, too. The wood-burning stove was a great feature and kept the place toasty. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband, Gary, and I are both house painters. I am usually contracted to do the fancy stuff like wall finishes and murals and he is great at prepping and painting exteriors. Our latest job together included a complete renovation of a local farm house where we painted the entire interior and I wall papered nine rooms! Whew!

Lately, we like to go to Florida in the winter. Gary continues to paint in the Sunshine State and I am a rider/groom at Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Stallions. It's a tough job but this old cowgirl has got to do it!

Gary is passionate about mountain climbing (we have a few of those here in Vermont) and bike riding. And I try to show horses year-round. We own a lot of helmets!

We believe in living simply, a close-knit family, caring for the environment, working hard and laughing hard.
