The space

This one bedroom, one bath apartment known as Villa Nova is spacious and welcoming. The bedroom has a new queen sized Sealy Posturpedic mattress, a custom made iron headboard, and black out drapes. The bathroom has the original 1920's hex tile floor and a deep soaking tub with shower. The kitchen has been renovated with cherry cabinets and stainless steel appliances including microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a breakfast table for two, k-cup coffee maker, and everything you need for cooking. The living room has a fireplace (candles only please), a tapestry love seat and wingback chairs. It is joined on one side by a reading alcove that makes a perfect laptop spot. The other side has French doors that leads to a light and bright sunroom. The sunroom has two twin beds configured as an L-shaped daybed which can sleep two separately or be reconfigured as a king sized bed. The sunroom also has a drop dining room table that will seat four. Linens and towels supplied as well as initial soap and shampoo "hotel pack". The small complex has 8 units total, 4 in each building. There is a shared courtyard with tables, chairs, and gas grill and coin laundry available for your use. There is also a balcony at the back entrance that is shared with one other unit. If you are traveling with others, just ask; we may have a second unit available. The apartment is 1920's Spanish Stucco style and the original architecture and charm is intact. The renovation was awarded an Historic Preservation Award. You'll find this apartment and neighborhood quiet, comfortable, and charming.

Guest access

You will have full access to the entire apartment. The rear balcony is shared with one other unit. The large courtyard is common space and shared by all units. You are welcome to grill out, have dinner, or just hang out in that area. We just ask that you clean up after yourself and be respectful of others with noise.

I live close by and am at the property often. I'll take your lead on how much interaction you want.

Awesome communication from moment I booked. Nice surprise of a little alcove with desk so now I know I can use for a work trip. I may have overlooked in description. Photos do not do this olace justice l, it is perfect. Will be back for sure! Close to lots of great stuff. Loved it.

Jill was an amazing host! The home was better than the pictures, it was such a treat to walk into this condo and know that we would get to spend the next 4 days there. It had everything you need to live comfortably and then some. We found it to be located perfectly for site seeing and beach going, everything is about 10 to 15 minutes away and the Sunken Gardens are right in the neighborhood, attached to the Sunken Gardens is a wonderful facility designed just for kids where our two kids spent hours one day. Some people sublet a room and some people create a memorable and enjoyable experience for the guest, Jill provides the latter. I highly recommend a stay in any of her 3 properties!

I traveled to St. Pete with my 2 adult children (mid 20's) for a family reunion of sorts. Although everyone lived closer to Tampa, Jill's place offered the space I was looking for the 3 of us during our 3 night stay. We were not disappointed. Jill even allowed us to check in a few hours earlier. The apartment was very comfortable to return to & relax after a day of activities & fun. The best part was not being cramped up in one hotel room. The location was close to the downtown restaurants, shops & the Dali museum. The cost of Uber downtown was about $6. The beach was about 20 minutes away. We did go once during our stay but I'm not a big beach person so that was fine with me. That would be a consideration for some one who desires closer proximity. Jill's kitchen was equipped with everything to cook your own meals. I didn't use it but there was also a washer/dryer machine. Her small touches & decoration made you feel like you were at home. I would definitely stay again.

I love bringing change - it's my life's mission! I work as a consultant helping companies change to be more efficient. I'm a real estate broker and renovate property as well. I get my biggest kick out of turning an old rundown house into something beautiful!

I fell in love with St Petersburg when I moved here. I never expected to stay more than two or three years and that was at least 15 years ago! I've renovated several properties here; all built in 1925 or 1926. I'm really happy to be able to share some of those through AirBnB. I try to think of everything I would want when I travel and make it available. I think it's important for a place to have its own personality and be comfortable.

I try to follow my guests lead when I host. I'm available and try my best to respond quickly. Our community is open and friendly but not intrusive and that's my hosting style as well. I want people to feel at home and comfortable to do as they wish while visiting our city.
