Nice clean place, almost brand new guest suite with laundry facilities and the beautiful cape down the hill. Great breakfast and they were interesting people who were willing to visit with us.

Joanne and Joseph were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed very interesting and informative conversation with them and they were able to direct us to some good places to visit. I just felt like we were staying with "old" friends. Our room was so lovely starting at the beautiful garden entrance. Bed was wonderfully comfy and the bathroom was very spacious with a great shower. We enjoyed a perfect breakfast with lots of fruit and scrumptious blueberry pancakes(URL HIDDEN)On the way to their home we stopped at the "take out" stand in town and had a great simple dinner... not many other restaurant choices in town

This place was gorgeous! The hosts were very lovely. They took us down to the beach, and made us a beautiful breakfast! The house had everything we needed, with lots of things to do our laundry, plenty of pillows and blankets, and everything was so clean! The house itself was beautiful and they have a lovely garden we were invited to use! The hosts were one of the nicest people I've ever met with lots of stories and even made us biscuits for the road. Would love to stay again was perfect!

What a treat to stay with Joanne and Joseph! We had a wonderful time watching the sand pipers! So many hummingbirds, too! The blueberry pancakes were absolutely delicious! As were the homemade jams and preserves! Nice, cool, private room off the garden! Should have stayed longer!

Our visit with Joanne and her husband was truly a fantastic experience. We will definitely have no issue returning to their home when we wish to make a trip to the southeastern corner of New Brunswick. If you want a place that is out of the way of the busy hustle and bustle of the big city, but yet be close enough to a small town, such as in this case Sackville, and to a lesser degree the quaint town of Dorchester, to get the necessities and find a good place to eat, then Joanne’s home is the place for you. if you want to visit a place that is not too far away from a pivotal French and Indian War fort (Fort Beausejour) that played a tremendous role, not only in Canada’s history, but also the Acadian’s history as well, then you can’t go wrong here either. We just happened to be in the area for the great annual Acadian festival, which took place just a few kilometers down the road (talk about luck!). If you want to see the best that nature has to offer in watching the tidal flow of the Bay of Fundy, as well as watch the majestic Sandpiper when the tidal waters are at high tide, then there is no better place to say. Their room is very clean, and their bathroom has everything that you need. There is also a pretty much brand new washer and dryer in the bathroom if you need to wash a load or two while you are there. This is the first time that we’ve stayed in a place that had this type of luxury before. They even provide the washing detergent. So even though we did not utilize the washer and dryer, at least it was there in case we needed to. As far as the breakfast that they provide their guests, you can’t ask for a better selection that what they have to offer. They are both exceptional cooks, so when they made pancakes for our first morning meal, they threw in some locally picked wild blueberries in for good measure. When you want to add on toppings to those pancakes, you will get nothing store bought from these two. They will provide you with all homemade fruit preserves, yogurt, and other fine assortments, more than you will ever need. The only thing that they didn’t make was the pure maple syrup, but we’ll forgive them this time. For our second breakfast, they made the best French toast this side of Paris. This family is truly people oriented, so they love to visit with their guests. They stayed and chitchatted with us during our breakfasts, filling us in on all the local happenings. They have been living in the same home for over 30 years, so when you have questions about something to do in the area, they know just the very thing to get you going. During our morning conversation, my wife mentioned that she...
