We had a very warm welcome from Lena and Lockie when we arrived and throughout our stay, whenever we were there, we chatted and learnt all about the area. Arrive as strangers and leave as friends - highly recommend. And we left loving Herbie (dog) too!

This beautiful home was made even more special by our hosts Lena and Lauchie. They welcomed us like old friends with wine and nibbles. We so enjoyed our stay here. The bathroom has a garden outlook which is very relaxing. The bed was comfy and cozy. The house has a lovely high timber ceiling in the kitchen and living areas where we relaxed and talked with our hosts over breakfast and coffee in the morning. Will definitely be back when we next come this direction. Thoroughly recommended! Thanks once again for having us.

Thank you Lena and Lauchie for the fantastic weekend I had with you in your wonderful home. You really made me feel welcome and I enjoyed the time to the full at your home. My room was very comfortable and the house is just a stunner. Casaoakura is just a 2 min drive from the local beach (perfect for a surf) and has a wonderful garden. We shared dinner and had some great discussions. On top, Lauchie took me on a bike tour and showed me the magnificent Taranaki region. Thank you Lena and Lauchie, I cant wait to come back.

It was wonderful. Lena and Lockey were very gracious and welcoming. We had a fabulous time with them by the fire, sharing stories. Their home is amazing (as you can see from the photos) there's lots of lovely local art about the place and a garden where Lena feeds the birds of a morning. We had our own bathroom/toilet to use and a large comfortable bed. All very agreeable. Appreciated the extra help in finding the local attractions - especially the bridge at the south end of town which has a fantastic outlook for photos! Many many thanks to Lena and Lockey you made our stay a memorable one. Sue and Rach
