Located in the heart of the High Country directly between Boone and Blowing Rock, 10-20 minutes from almost everything. Relax in a private Master suite with access to other areas of the house. Skiers, hikers, climbers, families, and kids are all invited here!
This space offers a 2-room Master suite with a private bathroom, deck space, and entrance. The 2 rooms have wood floors and a door separating them allowing for some privacy within the suite as well. Great for families with children. The larger room has a queen size bed and smaller room a futon/couch with a queen size air mattress if needed. Guests will be able to fully control the heat to their comfort level in the winter months. In the spring and summer months, relax on the deck directly outside the suite in comfortable Adirondack chairs.
Pull right up from easy access paved roads to plenty of parking and direct access to the 2-room suite on the main level. Guests have a private full bath inside their suite. To all guests who are interested, there is always fresh coffee and breakfast snack items provided in the morning!
Interaction with guests
We look forward to getting to know guests as much or as little as they would like. We enjoy introducing guests to all of the fantastic attractions the High Country has to offer.
Other things to note
We are the proud parents of our preschool son who absolutely loves having guests and making new friends. We welcome other families with young children but for those who don't prefer to be around other children, the Master suite is in a private area of the house that allows for some great peace and quiet too! We also have Chaco the declawed cat whose favorite things to do are sleep and lay around in the yard. Because the Master suite can be closed off from the rest of the house as needed, Chaco does not roam in the guest space.
Treat us and our home with respect. Absolutely no smoking...inside or out.
After living in the High Country for nearly four years and leaving to be closer to family, we realized Boone/Blowing Rock is where our heart is and decided to move back. Corinne works at Appalachian State University and Jonathan is a supervisor at Starbucks. Most of our spare time is spent enjoying the High Country with our elementary son.
