Exclusive apartment in the country:
Located approximately 12 km (8 mi) North of Basel in easy reach by expressway E25 / A35, the apartment offers a comfortable bedroom, nice living room with extra bed, kitchen with dining area, and a bathroom with tub, shower and toilet.

The space
The apartment has 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 living room with 1 bed, a kitchen with dining area, a bath room with toilet, bath tub and shower. The surface of the apartement is 60 m2 (645 sq, ft). We invite you to enjoy the meadow around the house extending to the edges of the old Huningue canal. Built in the early 19th century it connects Huningue near Basel with Kembs and further down-river with Mulhouse and Colmar, the cities of Southern Alsace.

Our location offers a splendid view on the vineyards of Blansingen (Baden Margraeflerland) on the hills across the Rhine River.

There are some first class restaurants in town: L'Écluse, La Peniche, Le Petit Kembs, and City Grill each offering local Alsation and international cuisine.

The public bus service to Basel has a bus stop right in front of our house entrance. The transit time to Basel is app. 35 min. Should you wish there also is a limousine service.

My wife, Genevioève and I are perfectly fluent in English, German and French. We would enjoy very much to welcome you and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Where you’ll be

Kembs, Alsace, France

Kembs is an old village built on the ruins of a Roman military bridge head station over the Rhine. This side of the river was Gallia, on the other side there was Germania. The Roman bridge was destroyed during the time of the Great Migration by Alan tribes coming from Eastern Europe on New Years eve of 406 (December 31, 406). The foundation of our house was built with stones of the Roman settlement.
