You’ll have the house to yourself.
The 18th century farmhouse has a flagstone kitchen and an open fireplace, and views extend over the hills and into the fields of our horses. Rooms or apartments are available for families, couples or groups. All can participate in on-site activities.

The space
Situated in the hills of Béarn, the site is surrounded by spectacular views of the valley of Salies and of the Pyrenees. The maison de maitre is part of our campsite, Domaine d'Esperbasque, which is known for its welcoming, happy ambience. There are many on-site activities such as go-karting, swimming and darts, and inside our bustling barn are our horses - who always need grooming - and our tusked pig Basco. Please visit our website for more information, videos and lots of pictures! (website hidden) . Breakfast is available, served in our dining room which retains its original fireplace, and we think the best part is the eggs from our chickens who wander our site and the fresh home-made bread. This costs 6.50 euros per person.

Wifi is fast and free, and is in the reception room opposite the house where you can build a nice cosy fire.

A hairdryer or iron is available on demand; a machine wash costs 5 euros.

The swimming pool is open during the summer.

Where you’ll be

Salies-de-Béarn, Aquitaine, France

We are in the Medieval area of Salies, and are within easy driving distance of the Basque Country and the Pyrenees. Visits to cities such as Bordeaux and San Sebastian are also possible. For those who wish to self-cater, the markets are lively hubbubs of food, animals and chatter. The local rivers provide idyllic swimming, kayaking and watersports; the hills provide scenic walking, cycling and horse-riding.
