The space

Our 49 sqm apartment is situated on a calm street in the heart of Tallinn's old town. In the direct neighbourhood you will find a number of museums, the city theatre as well as the music academy. The city hall square - the center of Tallinn's old town - is only a few hundred metres away.

The apartment is located on the top floor of a building originating from the 17th century, rebuilt by C.L. Engel in the 19th century, and completely renovated in 2007 by a company specialized in restoring old buildings. The studio is fully equipped with a luxury bathroom, kitchenette and a 180cm king size bed with futon mattresses. Please note that while futons are very good for your back, they are also relatively hard. If you prefer softer mattresses, we have two spare ones below the bed. The hardwood floor makes the apartment well-suited for guests with allergies.

Bed linen and towels will of course be provided, so no need to bring those along!

Jan's place was well located, in the old town and close to nice restaurants and sites. Apartment is bright and beautifully renovated. Note that it is at the top floor and there is no elevator so it is not optimal for people with walking difficulties.

Jan's apartment is super nice, clean and quiet yet centrally located. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in Tallinn!

Great place to explore Old Tallinn, great dining places nearby. The apartment has a bath to soak up worn out feet in hot water at the end of the day ;)

We had a really lovely stay in Tallinn. The apartment is a wonderful place from which to explore the old city, particularly with the Christmas market just around the corner. It's also a very short walk from the train station and easy bus/taxi to the airport. Do note - as other reviews have mentioned and Jan offers in the description - that the mattresses are very hard and worn. Wifi would also be a useful addition to the apartment.

Jan's studio was a great place to stay. Although the place gave the impression of being commercially rented and lacked the amount of furniture to make it feel homely, it was still a very nice base for exploring Tallinn. The location is perfect and very central. There is a nice big bath. Jan was very helpful and communicative. Unfortunately, the bed was not so comfortable; it was quite hard and the wooden frame was partly broken. Also, there is no WiFi. Considering all the pro's and con's still a highly recommendable place.

Very nice Little studio right in the center of Tallinn. Great Communication with Jan. Everything was ok. Only thing to have in mind - Not everyone sleeps well on a Futon, especially with back problems. Apart from that - highly recommended!

We were very happy with the place. The location was very central, the studio itself on top of a lovely old building. Even though very central, the house itself was very quiet, which guaranteed a good night's sleep for the two nights we spent there. The place was easy to find and with Jan's simple directions the check-in and check-out were very flexible. The kitchen and general hanging out space was nice, the bathroom very beautiful and the entire place very clean and spacious. Since Tallinn has a lot of lovely eating out opportunites, we didn't use the kitchen much, but all the amenities were there as described and in working condition. Communications with Jan went smoothly and everything worked. Would definitely recommend staying here :)
