The space

This newly-refurbished luxury apartment lies in the heart of Central London's exciting King's Cross neighbourhood. If you have come to explore London, you could not want a better location. From here you can walk to the the city's most amazing sites, or explore the rest of England from the world's 'most romantic' railway station, St Pancras International. You'll be within walking distance of the British Museum, Oxford St and the historic City of London, and you can also enjoy a gourmet coffee in hip Old Street and Shoreditch, wander around stylish Angel Islington, or walk in the sun along the Regent's Canal. For the other incredible travel links you'll have, see 'Getting Around' below.

Two large sash windows bathe the living room in natural light, providing a great location to observe the hustle and bustle of King's Cross Road. The venetian blinds and stylish curtains provide privacy and cosiness for curling up on the comfortable sofas. Come the evening, the thick wooden doors ensure a naturally quiet night's sleep: a well-deserved treat after a day in the capital!

Take advantage of the local independent markets nearby and make a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen. You will love the marble worktops, full-sized oven and espresso machine. Still more important is the dishwasher, because you didn't come to London to wash the dishes! The wooden dining table gives a great view of the street, a wonderful setting for an evening meal. Or maybe you'd refer al fresco dining on the quiet terrace? The choice is yours.

You will sleep like a king in the sumptuous super-kingsize bed, and the black-out curtains ensure you can sleep in as late as you wish. I provide high-quality Egyptian cotton sheets, and if needed I can reconfigure the bed into two single beds. There is also a comfortable sofa bed in the living room if you need to request extra guests. You will have everything you need to look the part in London, including two mirrored wardrobes, hairdryer, iron and board, laundry washing machine and dryer, and clothes airer.

When you jump out of the high-pressure shower/bath into a warm towel from the heated towel-rail, you will know you made the right choice in staying in this apartment. I know that you will love your vacation here, and I look forward to making your stay unforgettable!

Interaction with guests

I like to make sure guests get 6* treatment. I will meet you outside the apartment and help you with luggage. I am also always happy to meet guests at any station in London.

When I first welcome you into the apartment, I will give you a quick tour of the basic things you need to know to have a really comfortable vacation.

During your vacation I am always a quick phone/text/email away, and I will nearly always reply within minutes. I am also on call to assist you in person if necessary.

I like to provide recommendations for restaurants and so on, and I am happy to help with anything you need when you arrive.

The neighbourhood

King's Cross is a fashionable area full of independent restaurants, pubs and cafes. The beautiful neo-gothic St Pancras International Station hosts a wide range of designer shops. There are also several mini-supermarkets nearby.

We are very close to Angel Islington is a famously stylish area, full of boutique clothes and food shops. Old Street and Shoreditch are also close, and are great locations for Australian-style gourmet coffee. We are very near to Regent's Canal, a wonderful place to walk, run or even fish.

From King's Cross St Pancras you can easily get to the main tourist places by tube:
- Oxford Circus (4 minutes)
- Piccadilly Circus (8 minutes)
- Knightsbridge/Harrods (13 minutes)
- Green Park/Buckingham Palace (6 minutes)
- Tower Hill/Tower of London (13 minutes).
- Camden Town (5 minutes)

If you are here on business, you'll appreciate the direct trains to the City (eg 5 minutes to Moorgate) and the simple route to Canary Wharf (22 minutes).

This apartment is also perfect for visiting academics and parents of graduating students:
- University College London (UCL): 2 minutes by tube (Russell Sq Station), 16 minutes walking.
- School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS): 2 minutes by tube (Russell Sq Station), 16 minutes walking.
- Institute of Education (IOE): 2 minutes by tube (Russell Sq Station), 16 minutes walking.
- King's College London (KCL): 4 minutes by tube (Holborn Station), 25 minutes walking.
- London School of Economics (LSE): 4 minutes by tube (Holborn Station), 25 minutes walking.

This is a fantastic neighbourhood, exciting in itself and probably the most connected place in London for transport.

Getting around

The apartment is five minutes walk away from King's Cross St Pancras Tube Station, which offers great transport links to all of London. It's also great if you're arriving by Eurostar!

For the super-quick routes to the key tourist, business and academic locations, see the section above.

King's Cross St Pancras International also offers links to other day-trip destinations such as Edinburgh, Cambridge, Hogwarts, York, and Paris. Ten minutes away is Euston Station, which offers further links to the rest of London and the UK as a whole.

In addition, King's Cross is a bus hub, and getting on a famous red bus can be a more interesting way of seeing the sights.

Sean's place is a great airbnb place to stay in. Close to public transport yet a few minutes away from green and leafy beautiful streets. The comfortable bed and quiet bedroom made sleeping a dream. Sean was very responsive to emails. His apartment has everything one can think of and there were fresh bread and scones upon arrival as well as a basket of goodies. I would highly recommend.

Tidy, comfortable, and well located, just a few minutes walk from King's Cross. How nice to be welcomed with a fresh loaf of home baked bread! The bed is large and cosy, and the welcoming basket a nice touch. Sean was very easy to communicate with, and accommodating.

Sean was great and his apartment was lovely. The place was clean, it's only a few minutes walk from King's Cross station so it's easy to get anywhere, and there was a big snack basket and fresh home baked bread waiting for me when I got there. What more could you ask for!

We loved our stay at Sean's place. He was very easy to communicate with. He meet us at the arranged time, gave us a tour of the home and left very easy instructions with many recommendations of places to eat and things to do during our stay. We really enjoyed the the extra space of an apartment compared to a hotel room . It was well set up for us to do washing and cooking when required. While being an apartment , we were still spoilt with extra little touches you may find in a hotel - supplied soap, shampoo, conditioner , bathrobes, slippers, change of linen during our 2 week stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will be recommending it to our friends. Very easy access to the tube and all forms of transport as well. Could not fault the place . Thanks again Sean .

Sean User ProfileSean is a superhost.

Welcome to my profile! I work in wine, and I have recently been studying literary history, Shakespeare and other drama from the time.

I love coffee, which is good news for our guests: our apartment is equipped with a genuine espresso machine. I also love traditional English ale, singing and writing sonnets.

I am upbeat and gregarious, and either myself or my brother can usually be available to assist you during your stay.

My first language is English, but I also have a little French.
