Conveniently located 2 minutes from the N11 motorway, 30 mins from Dublin City Centre & Dublin Airport. The world famous Avoca Handweavers' flagship store with designer clothing, Irish giftware, food hall and restaurants, is just around the corner. Glendalough is 20 minutes away, a 5 minute drive to Bray seafront and 5 minutes to beautiful walking/hiking trails like the Wicklow way and Powerscourt Estate. There are a dozen golf clubs within 10 minute's drive of Sugar Loaf Mist!

We offer one ground floor double bedroom with a private adjacent bathroom, separate from the family's living quarters. There is a wardrobe and chest of drawers for your convenience.
For sports enthusiasts, the entire property is available for events. We are conveniently located for the city and the country. Weekly rental sleeping up to 8 adults. Mature, extensive gardens with ample parking facilities, patio and barbeque area. Small dogs are welcome. Fees €55 per night and €90 per night for double occupancy. Includes light breakfast. Full Irish breakfast available for additional charge. Tea and Coffee making facilities. Packed lunches and evening meal can be arranged, at additional cost, with advance notice.
Guests are made most welcome with exclusive use of bedroom/bathroom area. Access to kitchen and full use of the garden and barbeque area. We respects our guests and ask that they do the same for us and our home.
Interaction with guests
The hosts are warm and welcoming with encyclopaedic knowledge of the attractions, facilities, amenities and hidden treasures in the area. We are happy to help guests make their stay as enjoyable as possible. Cathy is a fitness professional with extensive experience in hosting wellness retreats and boot camps. For the health conscious visitor she can provide detox, low GI & wellness packages onsite with all your meals and exercise included! We have a full equipped personal training studio nearby. Sports massages can be arranged with advance notice. There is ample parking for cars and small trailers for biking events etc.
Other things to note
Sugar Loaf Mist is located just off the N11, Dublin to Wexford road which
links to the M50 motorway. It is very handy for a regular business traveller to this area as well as tourists. If you are into outdoor pursuits, you have everything Wicklow offers on your doorstep: from Golf/Hillwalking/hiking, Biking, Bird watching/wild life, Horse riding/trekking to paragliding and Motocross trial biking. There are Art and Pottery classes, Concerts, Theatres, Historic houses & Botanical Gardens including: Powerscourt gardens and waterfall, Glendalough, Kilruddery, Mount Usher and Kilmacurragh Gardens.
We are close to exceptional food emporia; check out Avoca Handweavers, Powerscourt Hotel(previously known as the Ritz Hotel). Powerscourt Estate, Kilruddery House and market, Mount Usher Garden Café and Romany Stone. Our very own local, Plucks, serves great meals and offers entertainment within a 5 minute walk from the house. The award winning, world famous Johnny Foxes Pub, with it's amazing seafood and "ceol agus craic" is a 10 minute drive away. There is also live music nearby in the village of Roundwood at the weekends and many summer and cultural festivals throughout the year.
Public transport includes buses to Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow, Dublin City Centre and the airport. There is a private bus (St.Kevin's) to Glendalough. Also, easy access to the DART and LUAS.
We are respectful to our guests and expect that they treat our home as they would their own, with care and consideration. The kitchen cannot be used for cooking after 9.30 pm. Check out time is 10.30 am. We want our guests to feel comfortable, relaxed and at home. Well behaved dogs are welcome under the supervision of their owners. A sense of humour is essential!
