The space

The interior is finished in beautiful hand-milled pine, from our land. There is one full size bed, and one fold out couch that is more like a child size or very small bed. The kitchen has a two burner hot plate, draining sink, with water provided, Britta Water filter, Basic utensils, can opener, french press coffee maker, pots, plates, mugs, and such. There is a space heater for those cool nights and mornings, and a fan and window unit AC for the hot days. Beautiful lighting casts a magical glow. It's all solar powered! Cozy bedding is provided. There are a dining table and chairs, as well. There's no fridge, so you'll want to bring a cooler. If you are doing an extended stay, we'll freeze your ice packs, or you can use some ice from our freezer. It's a very short walk to the upscale outhouse. The back porch is a great place to relax and stargaze.
The bus overlooks the two acre "Lake Harriet". Swimming, canoeing, respectful and careful fishing, and enjoyment of the lake is available. There's a beautiful swing overlooking the lake, as well. Enjoy a campfire in the provided fire bowl. Take a hike on the land or nearby in the Shawnee National forest.
We REQUIRE a pre-dark check in.

Guest access

Come down our driveway, and honk if you don't see us around. We'll provide guidance. We require a pre-dark check in, and we appreciate working out your ETA with you, so the bus is prepared for your arrival and to make sure we are around when you get here.

Interaction with guests

Based on our availability, your desire, and weather. We're building a beautiful permaculture learning center here. You may hear/see people around working or enjoying the land. We've accepted many an offer to enjoy a campfire with our guests, when we have the availability. We naturally provide you with space, unless invited to interact, though we may check in and ask you how you are doing if we see you out and about. We occasionally have weekend events going on, which you are welcome to take part in, and we will let you know about it before your trip. (Examples of events may be "pop-up" resturants, workshops or classes. Some have a fee, others are free)

The neighbourhood

Interwoven Farm is near to Garden of the Gods, Lusk Creek Wilderness, Indian Kitchen, Golconda, Eddyville, Burden Falls, Bell Smith Springs, Rim Rock Trail, Millstone Bluff, Warbluff Audobon Sanctuary, Cave-In-Rock, Dixon Springs, Sand Cave and more. You can hike from the site. We border Lusk Creek Wilderness area on multiple sides. While we don't recommend hiking in the wilderness, there is a well-marked trail nearby, as well as many hiking trails within a short drive.
The small city of Paducah is a 45-minute drive from the farm. Paducah is brimming with culture, art and activity. The charming old downtown, with its brick streets, awesome foodie scene, distilleries, theater, and shops, offers something for everyone. The Lower Town Arts District, near Old Down Town, is a gallery lovers paradise. The bustling corporate area has all of the ammenities.
The small town of Golconda has some basic ammenities, inculding a small grocery store, a few resturants, and bars.

Other things to note

This is not a place for people who are uncomfortable with nature!!! If you scare at the sight of bugs, dirt, and animals, you should consider accommodations elsewhere. It's a jungle out here...ticks are a real thing. Be prepared for a full nature immersion experience. We offer various in-season farm products for sale. Firewood is available for no cost, but we do accept tips for the hard working wood splitter and stacker.

This small, cute farm is secluded from any sort of city or noise. The directions on the website are helpful in finding the farm; come from eddysville, hit raum road and go 3.5 miles. The bus is very clean and well kept. Everything basic you need is provided for you, and Michael and Earthdancer are very welcoming and will help you out any way they can. Note there is only an outhouse available to use for a bathroom.

I spent my birthday here and it was the perfect place to spend a peaceful weekend and chill out away from the city. I left all my worries behind when I came here. The bus is so homey with lots of space. I didn't even want to leave. The bus is located next to a small lake that you can take the canoe out in. Micheal and Earthdancer are so welcoming. They will show you around their gardens and help you with anything you need. They are also very close to Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock trail which I suggest checking out.

This was the most incredible place we have ever stayed and our hosts were amazing people! The trip completely exceeded expectations. Not only is this beautiful bus located on an amazing permaculture farm near some of the best hiking, but the bus also has way more amenities than we could have imagined! It has everything we needed and way more. I've already sent this place to all my friends and family to check out, and we will definitely be back.

The bus is one of the most relaxing and beautiful stays I have ever had. The land around the bus is beautiful. Lake Harriet (which the bus is on) is post card worthy to see during sunrise and sunset. The bus has everything you need. The windows are tinted to offer privacy so no worries about that. There is sufficient heat and AC. Pots, pans, utensils, glasses, bowls salt and pepper are available in the kitchens area as well as coffee. The bed is very relaxing and comfortable. There are journals in the bus from past visitors that you can add a message for the Interwoven family. The smell of the wood that lines the bus is so pleasant and refreshing. The bus is located near Lusk Creek Canyon which offers some great hiking. It felt special to wake up near the chickens every morning and have them follow me to my car. The fire pit at night while looking up at the stars was magical. If you have the chance to book this IT!! Now for Michael and Earthdancer. They are truly beautiful people. I immediately got a warm vibe and felt like I have known them for years. They offer some good insight about the area. They maintain such beautiful land and are truly passionate about permaculture. They checked up on me to make sure I was enjoying my stay and to see if I needed anything. You can tell that they care!! I will not hesitate to book with them again.

Our stay at Interwoven exceeded our expectations! The bus is beautiful, even nicer than the photos show. It also felt fresh and clean, which I found really impressive considering. Glamping accurately describes the stay, it's comfortable but you will definitely see bugs, mud, etc. Canoeing on the pond was peaceful, and you're only 30 minutes from some great hiking. Earthdancer and Michael were very welcoming as well. Perfect getaway.
