With the peaceful Hurlingham Park at one end of the street, and the boutiques of the New Kings Road at the other, this home has a perfect location. It also has two living rooms and a terrace on both ground and top floors, for private al fresco dining and drinks overlooking London’s rooftops.
Living & Eating
A neutral palette and clean design make for a light, elegant room. You’ll find cream walls, large bay windows, decorative wooden-framed mirrors, a marble fireplace and beige furnishings. Highlights of colour come from a pretty blue woven rug, blue porcelain artichoke candleholders and red sofa cushions. This room carries through to an open planned kitchen and dining room. With an island at the centre, a sofa, and a dining table overlooking the ground floor terrace, this is a room for sociable cooking and dining. The flatscreen TV opposite the dining table makes for watching the news over breakfast. At the far end of the kitchen, full-width folding doors lead out onto a decked terrace. The second living room and study in the basement has a large, inviting sofa and flat screen TV. There’s also a desk with two chairs and a computer and printer. It has plenty of natural light from the double glass doors at one end, and from the glass ceiling panel that brings light through from the kitchen. The upstairs study with wooden desk and an office chair opens out onto the roof terrace. The terrace itself has panoramic views out over the sloping roofs of the neighbouring houses.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The house has four bedrooms: the master and lower ground floor rooms having king sized beds (5 ft wide - the latter is also configurable as a twin room) and the top bedroom and that overlooking the garden with standard double (4.5 ft wide) beds. The master and top bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The upstairs Master has a pretty chaise-longue beneath the bay windows, and the French Windows of the downstairs king sized bedroom open out onto the terrace. This bedroom is also configurable as a twin room. One bathroom has a shower over the bath, and the other has a shower room with a rainfall shower.
Access & Suitability
The front door is at ground level. There is a fully developed basement area with living room, utility room, bedroom and bathroom.
